Eh....pizza hut, sweeties, chinese food, sweeties, carrot cake, sweeties, sausage & tatty scone sandwich, sweeties.....and then on Sunday we went to my parents for dinner to celebrate DBro's birthday. Well my mum is a fantastic cook and always makes a variety of deserts and the wine flows like water....and of course I hate to be rude and offend with a refusal

Yay Niamh, wish her good luck! Jenna's Emma started last week and I think Jenna's taste of freedom was more than she could ask for.

Yep, she did and is loving it!! Me too!! I met Nate for a lunch date then went to Curves today. It was great!

DC update: M called and said the hotel is "killer". He said that there were a ton of kids bawling their eyes out. Gab was not one of them. It did make her feel better though to know that was she is feeling is normal; excited and scared all in one. Tomorrow night is their ambassador dinner and the P2P staff told Michael that the food is unreal and some kids even take pics. I am thinking we may get a food trippie from Gab by default. The parents are only allowed to visit in the mornings for breakfast but he didn't ask why. Gab called when she had a minute before going to their first meeting to say she met one of her roomies, Victoria, but the other, Maddy hadn't shown up. The Hyatt told M that P2P hires private security for the kids. They have chartered busses and they are treated really well. The food is supposed to be awesome the entire trip. Tonight they get to hear one of the Coveys speak which should be inspirational.

Tomorrow they go to Capitol Hill, learn about the branches of gov't, have lunch in the District (no sack lunch either baybee), visit the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and other sites on the Hill. At some point they break out into sessions and discuss leadership etc.

And then they attend the Embassy dinner.

I am tired just posting about it.

I'm glad the hotel is so close and M can have breakfast with her. Sounds like a fabby place!!

It was good, thanks. I cleaned the basement. I filled 5 of those big black industrial trash bags; 3 with garbage and 2 with stuff, mostly toys, to donate. It's so flippin clean except for the occasional spider.

DC update: I hope you guys don't mind but I am such a spazz and have to share the details. My local friends think I am whacked!

She called last night, reported that some 800 year old man talked forevah. She said the chicken they had for dinner was not as good as dad's but the sides were really yummy. She said she had to hurry because the "lights out" ladies were coming and they are serious. She said she wouldn't have her phone today because they are going to Capitol Hill and that cell phones will just slow them down through security. NO phone is freaking me out!!!!!! Oy. It will be a true miracle if I survive this. At least I got to talk to her. She called Michael and left a message saying hi and not to call her back.

She didn't call this morning. She's growing up way too fast.

Good. I'm fixing to go get my hair dyed. To cover some "lighter areas"... IYKWIM!!!

And then we're heading to Abq. tomorrow morning for a few days. Jon is seeing his neurologist and pulmonologist. He is having some motor issues all of a sudden (very clumsy, falling, dizzy, losing balance), and some asthma issues. SOOOO...I"ll be in the motha's town for a few days. BUT...I'm not staying with her.

Your post reminded me that Chloe had another seizure last night. It was mild and only the paralysis happened but it woke her up. She could form speech this time. I don't know that I should call her Neuro though. He said only to call if they last longer or seem more intense. I guess I don't need to call but it seems so weird not to.

I'm with you, I think I'd give the Neuro a call and risk being thought of as an anxious mother, just to put your mind at rest

As for Chloe, my recommendation is to do what I do. If you feel the need, call. It can't hurt. Just giving them a heads up. If you don't feel the need, don't call. I would make sure that you are keeping a diary. Record when they happened, how long, what happened, date, time, etc. I have a small medical diary for Jon that I carry with me at all times. Separated into areas...for all of his different health things. If there's an occurance, I write it down. If I have a question, I write it down. I take it with me to all of his docs appts. and that way, I can always tell them what's going on. Usually, they'll copy my notes. I'm obsessive like that. But, this way, there's no doubts about what is going on or what has happened.

That's a great idea. I will start it today. Last night, after this one, I asked if she had others and she said she did at Grandpa's about a "month ago". I have no idea what that means. I need to remember to ask her after school today. Chloe isn't the best historian.
