My HO is that if you can stay close enough and don't mind driving and the cost of the villa/hotel is less than WDW once you add on the $10+ a day for parking then go for it. Especially as you're now thinking no DDP, which BTW we would never buy as it is definitely way too much food for us, also the EMH's are just way too busy so not a perk!

Jenny we need to teach you how to link stuff without showing the link IYKWIM. So .......................

When you post a link into the reply it looks something like this......

Untitled.jpg

Don't touch anything, see where it's gone blue well just type what you want and it will become the link, like below! Also if you just want to link 1 post click on the post number in the right hand corner, this post is 1640 and just copy and paste the code as normal. Hope I've helped and you don't mind me telling you

Link to Jenny's TR!!!!!

:confused3 I am so confused; what is this?

How are my responses to your posts posting out of order? Maybe the DIS has gone kookoo for Coco Puffs?

So you guys don't ever do the DDP? The more I look at it, the less it looks like a deal. I mean sure, if I have to choose a bunch of great places to eat, I can and will but really it's never been a must for us. Having said that we usually do Disneyland where the dining options are slim at best.

I'm so confused...so I'll just say...

 to you Kirsteen and your family. I can't even imagine.

Jenny...we never do the DDP. Except...since we're now buying DVC...I believe DVCers get a discount on DDP rates. So, then, it makes it worth it for us. But, not otherwise...KWIM? Especially because, Jon eats like a flippin bird. And he gets charged adult prices even though he's the size of a 7 year old. But, I digress...

And as for off-site...I say do it. do whatever makes you feel best...and the important thing is being in the parks...and you know that. With the money you save on a room...you can rent a car and can transport yourself without waiting in some gawd-forsaken line. KWIM?

Plan away chica.

Oh..and me gusta grape coolies too. :teeth:

They do? I didn't know that. I don't think Jenna knows that either or maybe she does. Cool! :woohoo: Jenna usually does the DDP and I know she wants to. We all have to in the DVC or none of us can and there is no way I am going to cancel the DDP on sweet sweet Jenna. Plus if we do a split stay we won't have to do it the whole trip. I like the idea of having it for part of the trip. Last time it was too much food.

Any word on your new purchase? :teeth:

It's funny. We will make good use of it but will order WAY more than we would normally, because we can, which I hate because I hate to waste food, ya know?! I know it seems rather trivial......................

How did you know it is the gawd-foresaken lines that have me worried? :worried: Do the offsite hotels have shuttles to Disney? But shuttling is what I hate about being off property at Disneyland. :upsidedow Who am I kidding? Part of me is a JA princess: and we'll be on site the whole time. I wish it didn't matter but it does. :rotfl2: I think I need a Xanax. :hyper:

::yes:: Tonight we have my work summer party at the pool or I'd be sippin' on one right now.

What are you guys doing this weekend?

No news for REAL just yet...we're still deciding on points...my motha wants 200...I want 260...:confused3

What are you guys doing this weekend?

Tonight I took Jon to ITZ...which is Chucky Cheese-esq. But...way better. It has a bowling alley, rides, games...and half-way decent food.

Tomorrow...I'm taking Jon and my niece to the zoo...Albuquerque's zoo is huge.

Sunday...maybe the aquarium.

We're having a blast here in Albuquerque. This was the right decision...even though it's tough!

Hope you have fun tonight!

I didn't know you already moved?! That was quick!!! Did you have to sell your home? You are a movah and a shakah! :thumbsup2 Congrats! Meeska must love having you so close!!!! And with the mutha no less. 200 points is a lot. :woohoo: I am totally green!!!! But I couldn't be happier for you! When do you make the final decision?

Your weekend sounds very fun. Jon is a lucky duck. :wizard:

Tonight was Fun with a capital F. Being in a swimsuit in front of co-workers isn't my idea of a good time however the food and waves were awesome. :teeth: It was the only time for me to kick back this weekend. :sad2:

We actually haven't "moved" moved yet...not till next weekend. I'm up here job hunting.

Ugh.

Our final decision won't be until after the 4th...as my motha is gone until then to Kansas. So, it's just Jon and I here at the house.

200 points is a lot...but remember...we're splitting them. :faint: So, it's not that many...KWIM??

Meeska just moved to my hometown...that I am now moving away from. :sad2: She's sad that she moved and I left. She wonders if it was her...:rotfl:

What about your weekend?

Why did I think you had a new job? :upsidedow

So you haven't decided decided just kind of decided to move?

It is still a lot even to share. How often will the mutha really go?

 I feel so confused. She moved to you and now your moving?

What about your weekend?

The rest of my weekend will be pure crap. I had to take Chloe Clo to a last minute (we forgot) slumber party about 20 minutes away. Tomorrow Gab has a slumber party and Clo and Josh both have sleep overs planned, at the same friend's house, which is also 20 minutes away. I also promised M I would have the house all cleaned by the time he got home Sunday morning so he wouldn't have to help. He has been the main house cleaner for over 2 months and has also been working his tail off on the yard so I want it done we can chill on Sunday. :hyper:

Not yet. I'm interviewing! Wish me luck!

No...we decided to move. We haven't decided on how many points to buy. Am I confusing you? :rotfl:

It is still a lot even to share. How often will the mutha really go?

She wants a trip once a year...but she wants to use her points elsewhere...for the world locations...like Hawaii. :confused3

 I feel so confused. She moved to you and now your moving?

Yes...she moved to Clovis...where I have lived my whole life. She grew up in Clovis with me. And when she got married...she moved away. After her divorce from her poopy hubby...she moved back home...to Clovis. Where I am now moving away from!

I'm not sure I even understood that! :rotfl2: But...yay for a day of rest. :rotfl2: ::yes:: :woohoo:

:thumbsup2 Okay, I am totally in the know now! :goodvibes Good luck on your interview. I am sure you'll do well. Just charm them like you have us and they'll adore you! :cutie:

How is Meeska doing? I see her on your thread every once in a while.

Hi kids!
Just dropping in to say hello. I miss you wacky funsters, and I'll be back on with a pre-trippie to DL very soon! I need to get caught up with this thread! I'm sure it's a hoot!

Awwww...thanks Jenny!

Meeksa is as well as can be expected. It's hard to divorce someone you've been with for that long. And a child complicates things a lot. But...she is a strong lady and she'll get through it! ::yes::

:faint: Bevily? How are you? How's baby Daniel? It's so good to "see" you. Do tell what's been going on!!!!! When are you going to Disneyland?

Awwww...thanks Jenny!

:goodvibes Awwww...you are welcome. I assume you are staying with teaching?

Honestly, I cannot even imagine how hard it is. She is lovely, really, and I know she'll be better for it. Plus she's shaping that little doll of hers into a woman and showing her by example what's acceptaable and what's not. :thumbsup2 She's very strong and brave. Lots of women don't leave. I say that without judgment and I commend Meeska for not settling!

My anxiety is in high gear. I am trying to organize and clean but am unable to stay focussed! :hyper: These are the times that I despise being Type A.......... truly! :worried: My friend doesn't arrive until Monday night and I really have 2 full days of cleaning but how am I going to keep it spotless after its cleaned other than to ship the kids to their grandparents? :rotfl2: What should be enjoyable is not.

:goodvibes Awwww...you are welcome. I assume you are staying with teaching?

Actually...no. I'm applying for Case managing positions at several non-profit organizations...including a city-run homeless health care agency and an HIV/AIDS office. Something different...why not? My motha says I should have been a SWer. :rotfl:

Offer to pay them!

Offer to pay them!

That's probably better than offering to ground and torture them? :rotfl2: *

You should have been a SW! Just not one with body image issues. :lmao:

She is great! She's setting an amazing example!!!!! I like to think I would be that strong.

* This is a joke. I do not torture my children unless you consider Rope Drop torture.

BEVILY!!! How's it hangin' chica??? How's everything?

Things are good! My maternity leave is OVER on Monday  , so I'm depressed about taking the little bean to day care (only twice a week, though), but I've enjoyed staying home with him.

Sounds like you're getting ready to move? I'll have to get caught up on my reading to see how that came to be. I hope all's going well with you!

:faint: Bevily? How are you? How's baby Daniel? It's so good to "see" you. Do tell what's been going on!!!!! When are you going to Disneyland?

 It's nice to be "seen" again! I've just been home hanging out with the baby most of the time, but now I have to enter the real world again.

Daniel's cute and funny and talks a lot, and his only fussy week was the week we decided to go on a little trip to Yellowstone, which means we had to loiter for a couple of hours at a restaurant in Butte, Montana waiting for him to calm down. :( That was a little tough, but one of the joys of parenting, I guess.

We're planning our Disneyland trip for either this spring or the next one--we don't know how well a one-year-old would enjoy it. Plus, we're trying to include DH's family in the trip, so we have to plan around them. It's definitely in the works, though!

How are your little people doing? I bet they've grown up a lot in the last few months!

I'm so excited to hear all of your plans for the upcoming trip. It sounds great! :woohoo:

 I know you don't want to but 2 days a week isn't that bad.

 He sounds darling. I would love to see a photo. I know you might not want to post one on the report, do you still have my email?

I think he'll enjoy it at a year old. Josh's first trip was when we was 3 months. :rotfl2:

Keep us posted and don't be a stranger! :goodvibes
