Today Gabby has her 6th grade maturation program at school. It's when the girls learn about the boys. I am only working a few hours this morning so I can go with her. She is begging to stay home which is ridiculous but I can understand why; she's so mortified at the thought of hearing the word testicles in public.

i don't think we learned about boys at all until like college when i took an anatomy class! i do remember in the 8th grade we were learning about reproduction and they showed us a video of a live birth. that scared me away from having a baby for almost 20 years now! oh, and the thing about the woman holding up the granny panties - that reminded me. when i got my monthly friend for the first time i was 12. i wasn't very girly until high school so i didn't carry a purse at that point. so my mom put my feminine products in my lunch bag! and not only that - but she didn't teach me how to use them. so i put the pad on backwards the first time. CAN YOU SAY OUCH??????

Gab survived and I must say the nurse was not a bounty of good pre-pubescent info. The RN was so uncomfortable and you could feel it. When she had to say the proper word for male sexual organ, she could hardly say the word. The best part was when she implied you could only get pregnant if married. I see lots of little knocked up Utahans in the next 10 years. Oy.

The neighbor girl told Chloe that if she rode on her father's shoulders, she'd get pregnant. The mother of this child did not allow her to attend today. Heaven help us!



Now onto some Disney stuff. Jenna and I talked today about groceries and stuff and since I am a mega-early riser, I have decided I'll make yummy breakfasts some of the mornings. We'll have 9 mornings of breakfast with probably only a few rope drops so on the menu is:

~ Eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. For all of those concerned about my Jewishness, all kosher bets are off while on vacay. It's not technically my kitchen.

~ Chorizo and eggs with cheddar cheese and flour tortillas.

~ French toast, turkey sausage, and fruit. I like turkey sausage better and no one will know.

~ Freshly baked muffins, fruit, and maybe a protein.

~ And finally we'll have cereal, frozen waffles, and Pop-Tarts a plenty for those resort changing and rope drop mornings.

The first time I used a tampon I was at a slumber party and wanted to go swimming. I had never used one but my friend's older sister had. She stood outside the bathroom door cheering me on and giving me directions. I remember this like it was yesterday:
