ROTFALOL!!! Oh my gosh... isn't exercising hard enough? Does someone have to make it even more difficult?!?!? Ok you have some options here.... change the time you go, you know what he looks like so now you can go to the opposite end of the gym from him , Or you can come in the early AM - before the club ever opens- and post an anonymous sign to all Garlic eaters!!! Ya know- make up something like a poem called An Ode To Garlic- we have lots of poets on this board- they could help you compose it! The mint thing is a great idea, but if the guy eats a lot of garlic.... and there are lots of people who do, the smell may be coming from his skin... I don't think you can paste thsoe puppies on skin can you????

Annie, you could do like those FBI agents do, at least in the movies, you could carry a little bottle of Vicks vaporub and put a little bit beneath your nose. Or does that smell worse than garlic?

He may be an arthritic who is taking garlic for his arthritis. My mother did that for quite a while and it worked, it really helped her pain, but goodness, did she smell bad.

First she tried the raw garlic (which worked the best) but YIKES the "fragrance" was something else. So she switched to the garlic pills, which still helped her but after about 3 days the garlic smell started coming through her skin

It was terrible, truly it was. She was so embarrassed when I finally told her about the odor. She actually wanted to thrash my legs with a switch, threatened to do it too. I'm over 50, for heaven's sake, would that be embarrassing or what?

She chased me around the living room shouting, "<b>How long were you going to let me walk around smelling like that??"</b>

*sigh* she has forgiven but still hasn't forgotten

that reminds me of a particular gentleman that I would avoid being side by side with on the cardio machines b/c he had a particular not-so-pleasant odor! I finally figured out it was his shoes!!! I was on the recumbent bike and he came up beside me on the regular bike, so his feet where closer to me, oh it was awful. My stomach churned, seriously. it was like wet dirty smelling creeking shoes!
