It's simple...if you are sending an invitation, make sure the names of everyone you want to attend are on theinvitation.

If you receive an invitaiton, the only people who are invited are those whose names are on the invitaiton.

Wedding, birthday, bar mitzvah, Communion, Confirmation, Graduation....it doesn't matter what the event is.

We had this happen several times when my kids were smaller. The main culprits were a couple of homeschool families we attend church with. After they refused to stop after I spoke with each mom, I simply stopped inviting the kids.
