What did you love about BLT?

When I stayed in a lake view one bedroom, I really liked the size of the one bedroom, having a jetted tub, the pretty views of the lake, seeing the castle all the time when using the elevators or the skybridge, walking to Magic Kingdom, being able to get to the CR lobby quickly, easy monorail access indoors, and the bullseye pool on the lake. After that, I stayed in a theme park view studio and I just loved how close I was to MK, always having something to watch, feeling like I was in the middle of the action when on the balcony, and watching the fireworks from our balcony. It felt closer than the Poly or GF and to me, it feels very "Disney" because there are Mickey's everywhere in the CR/ BLT.

At the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, you aren't as close to the castle for the views and at the Grand Floridian, it feels like it takes long to get to Epcot since you have to go all the way around before transferring monorails. I will say I love the GF main building more than anything for a special trip but more for sentimental reasons because we stayed there for our wedding and I go back and forth all the time over whether I love the GF, Poly, or BLT more- I just love all the monorail resorts.

Oh I’ve been to the one that just closed. It was meh.

I was talking about the massive arcade CR had back in the 80s-early 90s, when it and the QS were still on the 1st floor.

Great memories of the arcade in the late 70's/ early 80's, the best. My brother and I still talk about it! Remember the movie theater???

I don’t recall the theater. I think that closed around ‘80 or so. If i’m correct about that, then it’s just slightly before my time.

Maybe, we were there in 1979, 82 and 83...i think!
