If staying onsite without a car- can you walk to eat offsite?

Other than walking from DTD to some of the hotels that are near there or even further you are limited to onsite. Remember the Disney Property is over 40 miles square and it is ten miles from where you enter the property to the MK.

Unless you are staying at one of the resorts right at Downtown Disney, and even there it is quite a walk to get to any resturants off site. The easiest way to get offsite to eat would be to take a resort bus to Downtown Disney and walk out the Hotel plaza to the shopping area just across SR-536. There you will find Fridays, Chevy's, and several other resturants. A block or two to the left is Pizza Hut and Olive Garden. I would guess the walk to be at least 3/4 of a mile.

Well there is a blimpies at the gas station on disney that is pretty good and non-disney priced. (Near the TTC) and from there you could conceivably walk to a couple of places but its easily a mile or two each way before you get there and a very busy street so I wouldnt recommend it.

Without a car you are pretty much limited to eating on property. Any options to get to offsite or even DTD hotels involves significant walking :cool1: in areas that are not always well suited to walking.

I did this once. I think it was when we were staying at a hotel (non-Disney) right across from DTD. I agree - it was a very long walk! But it was doable, and IIRC there was a sidewalk the entire way.

I have walked from DTD to Goodings on a couple of occasions. The walk is quite pleasant with sidewalks and crosswalks!!!!

We had pizza delivered to Port Orleans before. I know PO has pizza, but it seemed expensive and not as tasty as, let's say Pizza Hut. I just had to be at the front door of the hotel, (i.e. bellman area) for pick up.

Like someone said if you travel to DD, you can walk 1 or 2 miles to Taco Bell, Pizza Hut or that sort of thing. If I were you I wouldn't.
