If staying on-site, any reason to have a theme park plan of attack?

We're going to be spending one day at each of the Universal parks at the end of this month. We're staying on-site too so we'll have the front of the line perk. My question: Is there any reason to have a "plan of attack" for rides and attractions or can we just do as we please since we'll be able to get that easier access to the attractions?

You'll get more expert opinions than mine, but I would say that the only time you'll need a plan of attack is if you want to go through the regular queue of a line. IE, the first time through Dueling Dragons, MIB, etc, you may want to be in the regular line so that you can experience the whole attraction. Also, if you want to try the first row of Dueling Dragons you'll need to wait in the regular line so you should plan to do that early in the day. That's it for my plan of attack for when we go in April.

I don't think you'll have to plan in advance your every move...but you will want to take a look at the guides when you get to each park to see what time the different shows are at, because some of those DO have set times that you may have to plan around to some degree.
