Everything they posted to you or you posted to them, everything that they wrote that appreared on your wall just disapears. It's like hitting a big ole delete button. Like they never exsisted. All past history gone.

i don't know about that.. i had a friend do that not long ago and all the pics we were in together that we were tagged in still appeared on my page and her old comments were there too on pics and posts.. i have a true love hate relationship with fb

It probably is a matter of message security. If you restrict your messages to (your) "Friends", and you remove someone from being your Friend, I'd hope that those messages vanish from that person's view. Similarly, if that person restricted messages to (their) "Friends", and you unfriend them, according to what was relayed above, that would necessarily remove you as one of their "Friends", and so those messages should vanish from your view.

Some folks publish, by default, to "Everyone" so I suspect that would end-up with a different result.

I noticed that a person I have friend requested but they haven't responded yet shows up in my news feed. It just says whatever they put on their "what's on your mind?" box. It annoys me.
