If Romeo and Juliet lived, what kind of parents would they have been and which family would have been friendlier towards the grandkids?

I agree, PollyannaMom! I also pray that both families would come to also embrace those in their greater community who perhaps they may have previously cast aside. Good question. Buzz Rules :)
Disney should make the "what if movie"/series. It would definitely get better ratings then that poor ABC attempt.

Neither, both would have been forced out of their families, estranged from them, and moved out of Verona ASAP.

Are you talking about the same ABC that is owned by Disney?
Yes but the previous show was not conceived by Disney itself. It was designed by a writer pushing a political agenda that ABC picked up. A Disney Plus stand alone series could just focus on a AU plot that makes sense for the original time period.

Buzz Rules, extra/deleted scenes in books and movies can be a lot of fun indeed! Years ago, I enjoyed some fan written stories about different TV shows and books on a site called fanfiction.net You might enjoy checking that out :)

Wishing everyone a good evening!

Honestly? I think they’d be divorced. Teenage insta-love based on foolish, rash decisions? Never going to last.

Glad you also enjoy fanfiction.net Buzz Rules. Have you ever written anything for that site? :)
I haven't because of the risk of being sued. I'm not an attorney but I would think all if not most fanfiction is technically illegal to write and I'm surprised big named firms haven't shut down fanfiction websites permanently.

Friar Laurence's plan was for Romeo to take Juliet to Mantua, once everyone thought she was dead.

As for what sort of parents they'd be, Juliet was very young (13) and they would have been on their own with no money, unless the Friar got them some help. It would have been very tough. Not sure Romeo knew anything about actually working to support a family.

Blacksmith/merchant most likely.
