I love Boston too and agree that there are many bands that would be a good choice...but still would love to see Bon Jovi in there. Kiss could be a fun themed coaster but not sure if Kiss would really blend in well at Disney!

..I also think that Boston's "Cool the Engines" would work great at the beginning of the ride...

Gotta love the lyrics with the ride:

Now I like takin' off
Don't like burnin' out
Every time you turn it on
Makes me want to shout
We keep getting hotter
Movin' way too fast
If we don't slow this fire down
We're not gonna last

Cool the engines
Red line's gettin' near
Cool the engines
Better take it out of gear

I'm no fool
I'm gonna keep it cool
and take it day by day
We won't know where we might go
'Till we take it all the way

Take me for a ride
Take me all the way
Take me where I've never been
Someplace I can stay
Don't get yourself too hot
Don't get yourself too high
If we don't take it easy now
We can kiss it all goodbye

Cool the engines
Slow this rocket down
Cool the engines
Why don't ya take a look around

I'm no fool, gonna keep it cool
Take it day by day
We won't know where we might go
'Till we take it all the way

Cool the engines
Cool the engines
Goin' over the line
Goin' off the dial
Runnin' out of time
And it's gettin' wild

Got flashin' lights
Goin' 'round and 'round
Until we get it right
Better cool it down
Better cool it down.

Cool the engines.

And now we're on our way
No need to hurry just to get from day to day
And I, oooh, I know
We don't have to run that hard to get where we can go.

Cool the engines.

Cool the engines down.

Cool the engines.

Cool the engines down.

I think it would be great for the whole ride but they probably would have to lengthen the ride or get Tom S. to edit the song shorter.

It'll never happen, but one can dream.

I would choose the Grateful Dead and make the ride really trippy! :hippie: Not sure that's very *Disney* but it sure would make for a cool ride!

I'd personally like to see a Grateful Dead themed ride....change the limos to VW Buses. Pipe in some "authentic" smells. Sell grilled cheeses in the queue line.

If not, just keep Aerosmith. :goodvibes

Hah! Another Deadhead  Definitely a parking lot line cue!!!

Beatles were my first thought. I'm sure with today's technology they could work something out.

My other thought was Guns and Roses.

:lmao::rotfl::lmao: Don't get me wrong... I LOVE Guns & Roses BUT....not really family friendly at all.

If they were to change and I really hope they don't I like the idea of all different bands.

P.S. I voted for Motley Crue; not that they are very Disney-like at all.

hijacked my own post from another thread on this topic...

How about the following:

The Grateful Dead Puffn' & Smokin' Coaster: They could pump 2nd hand smoke into the HVAC system for a truly psychadelic experience.

The Micheal Jackson This Is It Coaster: They could have large images of Michaels face transforming from young boy to freak adult. At the end they could spray chlorofill in your face as the final act, thus making it really IT for the riders.

The Kurt Cobain Smells Like Teen Spirit Coaster: They could, nah, never mind....it would be too messy...

The Prince "Formerly Known as the Rock n Roller Coaster" Coaster: Lets just say purpleness and rain abounds.

The Madonna Like A Virgin Coaster: Uh, can't say that here.

The Elton John Crock A Dile Rock n Roller Coaster: You get to wear huge gawdy sunglasses while riding through a larger than life wardrobe that would make Liberace and Elvis jealous.

The Beatles Yoko Ono Roller Coaster: You get to travel through all the greatest Beatles hits and at the very end, you are horrified to see that you will be crashing through a 20' diameter face of Yoko laughing...oh wait a minute, i think we all lived that in real life.

The Who's Back In The USSR Roller Coaster: Cause that's where were all headed...

The Iron Butterfly Inagoddadavita Rock n Roller Coaster: Just because it rolls off the tongue.

The Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven Coaster: Because it gets you there a little bit faster.

The AC/DC Highway to Hell Roller Coaster: Again, Because it gets you there a little bit faster.

can't you just hear it now?

I used to love her
But I had to kill her
I used to love her, Mm, yeah
But I had to kill her
I had to put her six feet under
And I can still hear her complain...

:rotfl2:

I will play along since we know this is not going to happen and neither would my suggestion of some Canadian content that most Americans have never heard of The Tragically Hip:worship: Shock me USA if you have heard of them!

Check it out. The song is called courage and it would be perfect for a ride:thumbsup2

AMG, Jonas Brothers! :rotfl2:
I seriously voted on that as a joke.
I would have to say I would not care as Aerosmith is my favorite rock group, other than Muse.

I like the way Rip Ride & Rockit at US lets you choose your song. This way you can get whatever floats your boat.

As for Bon Jovi... twenty-seven years, baby.

I love Aerosmith, LZ, and some others on the list, but honestly if they were to update, they should stay away both from "older" rock AND the pop drivel of JB/MC. They'd need a band that fits the name ROCK 'n roller coaster, while being a little more recent than bands that were at their peak in my childhood (or before I was even born, in the case of Zeppelin!).

At the same time, going *too* new risks picking a group whose popularity doesn't endure.

So I say, pick a well-established rock band from the 90's, one whose members are all still alive and maybe the band is even still recording. I vote for someone like Pearl Jam, Green Day, or the Foo Fighters.

The Foo Fighters would probably be the more mainstream out of that group. Green Day is good stuff but very unique and as for Pearl Jam, not everyone likes grunge. I like every one of your picks myself though especially Pearl Jam! :lovestruc

I vote to keep Aerosmith. As for being "Disney friendly", I never thought Aerosmith fit that mold. If they do change it, I would vote for an American band.

Nooo, they should never replace Aerosmith!! I love Aerosmith!

I am shocked that they use the song F.I.N.E on the ride though! I love the song but it is not disney friendly:rotfl:

Omg JONAS BROTHERS!

hahaha..... KIDDING......

I seriously hope they never replace Aerosmith!! That would be baaaad! :( I think too many people enjoy it so much b/c he is such a legend!!

I'd prefer the Hairband coaster. Play a little Poison, Motley Cure, Cindrella. They could offer a complimentary bandana/hair teasing as you exited.
