Magner's is a Cider. I've had it before at The Pub. I think I've tried every Cider on the market nowadays save some craft ones. My favorite is Stella Cidre followed by Ace Cider.

Oooooh I am a cider girl too. I love the ACE pear cider.

Count me in!::yes::::yes::::yes::::yes::

:cool1: What is your alcohol tolerance level? I need to access to know if you will carry me or I have to carry you.

Hahahahahahaha- kidding. Karen's carrying us both. :drinking1:rolleyes1

You are the cider queen. I know nothing on even the difference between a beer & a cider. Thinking the cider is sweeter? So will I like it more?

Oh, wait. Since you are a cider girl. You perhaps have higher tolerance level. Maybe you are carrying me and Karen. ::yes::::yes::

I hate to tell you but my tolerance is pretty low :( Back in the day when I lived in London we would stay until last call drinking cider, now I am lucky if I get a couple drinks in before I hit the floor. Maybe we need to add binge drinking to our training schedule :scratchin

Oh, and cider is made from fermented fruit, beer is made from hops and stuff. ;)

Ok, so our plan needs to include one of the following:

1) Increasing both miles and drinking ability. In all conditions.
2) Steal (eh, I mean borrow) someone's rented Disney stroller to pile in. And pay someone to push it.
3) Locate a strong, seasoned drinker to add to our group to carry three (possibly more) intoxicated runners with heavy PHM medals on.

I vote #3. I hope George Clooney volunteers for it.

Ah, me like fruit. I may try the pear cider then.... it'll be a new experience!

Bwahaha I would say we should rent the scooters but I think that might end with being issued DUIs. We better look for George Clooney instead :lovestruc

Cider is sweeter. If you like sweeter drinks, you should enjoy it. Different ciders have different sweetness though.

I don't really know much about beers except that I don't like the mainstream American ones as they have no flavor. I stick to craft wheat ales or belgian style brews.

/
Binge drinking training! :thumbsup2

I don't practice really ever, except at World Showcase, and someone seems to always take a photo of me in such a state...
I'll have to share a few photos on my PTR when I get a chance!

I went back to look, the cider beer that Meg got after PHM that was so good was called Strongbow? She went in Rose & Crown to get it. That was some good stuff! ::yes::

Ok, no being funny this morning because I won't be around. I have to take Rey to the airport. :worried: Then I have to take Savannah & Eleanor to meet friends at Earth Day and oh yeah, work a bit. :rolleyes1 I'll be back later to complain about how quiet and empty my house feels without him here and then you'll have to use your Tweedlepowers to cheer me up! ;)

Hahahaha, DUI's on scooters around Disney. :rotfl2: "I'm SO SORRY Duffy the Bear, I totally didn't see you standing there when I ran you over!"

But anything with George Clooney in the plan is good for me. :thumbsup2 Gosh, I hope he's on board with it all!

The only beer I really like (granted I don't go around trying a ton because I generally don't like the taste) is a good Heiniken.

I do like sweeter drinks so I think I need to try some Ciders on my drunken binges!!

I swear, the only times I get really drunk (and it's not much- once every 2 years...less as I get older and can't handle it!) pictures are always taken and show back up at really bad times. My best friend works with me and every so often those pictures show up at work!!! Which is fun explaining why you are wearing an intertube in the middle of an apartment!

Sorry about Rey my friend. What a bummer.

I thought he left Monday I guess- hence why I was sending you those selfies. Perhaps tonight should be practice night #1 of binge drinking?

I will try my best to not be funny. Perhaps I'll actully do some work today instead! :) That is so boring that it will automatically make me not funny!

Okay...this is my kind of training! :thumbsup2

(see small). I actually never drink. So accomplishing this actual plan in it's entirety has relatively small odds. I will either need to cut drinks out or share all drinks with 1-2 other people. Otherwise you will see me face down in a country - probably Country #3 (China)... perhaps naked... (which would not be a pretty site). And we just don't want to go there......
::yes:: Me too! I have, like, 1 glass of wine with dinner each week. I was in WDW with my friends over Princess Half weekend and we to do a little World Showcase drinking, so I'll see what I can contribute...
Mexico:

Well- regardless of the new reports of PRE-MADE DRINKS (oh the horror!).. I will still go to La Cava for a still undermined margarita...

And so it will begin....
::yes:: I think our margs were a little bigger than what's in your picture. I know between us we definitely had the pomegranate and the blood orange, I forget what the third was. That was the one day. The other day we were more focused on shots and got a tequila shot :thumbsup2

Norway is next.

I will in all honesty probably skip this country as it only offers beer (which I am not a huge fan) and one shot of some rye tasting stuff. I didn't even google a picture based on the high likelyhood (99.9%) of me skipping this country. Don't tell the Vikings.
I HAD THAT SHOT. At least, I think I did. From Kringla...I believe the CM said it was potato vodka. If you like yourself at all, skip this. It buuurrrrned.

China.

Well, I have to stop here and raise a glass to the birth country of my sweet girl!

There are two options that pipe my interest.

Tipsy Ducks in Love. Which is coffee & boubon & chocolate. I'm not a big coffee fan even though this drink gets good reviews. So I think I will probably move to the:

Canto Loopy

Cantaloupe and Vodka. I can make it work!
We skipped China. :sad2: That Canto Loopy sounds delish!
Germany

Well, this a beer country. And as discussed above- I'm not a huge beer fan. I might skip this country but if I don't... I will do a shot of this:

Berentzen Apple

I like Apple. It might work.
Darn, we skipped Germany too! :sad2: I'm so glad you mentioned the Apple stuff, definitely want to try that!
Italy

The land of the wines. So it seems rather natural to look for wines to drink.

After reading through reviews... I thought this one would be a nice one to try:

Rosa Regale is billed as a sweet wine that has tastings of sweet strawberry and rasberry.
::yes:: This stuff is really good, highly recommend it.

Hmmm. I guess this would be a good time to realize that I'm pairing mixed drinks, wine & maybe beer together. Yhea, I will have problems making it through the Countries!!!

Moving on......
Mind over matter!!
The Good Ole' USA

This may get skipped.

If it doesn't... I will be trying the Frozen Red Stag Lemonade.

It has the words "Frozen" and "Lemonade" which sounded better than the other offerings which were beer.....

Looks good to me.
We skipped USA. :confused3
Japan

Japan kept trying to sell me on the frozen beer. I just am not interested. I finally found something else that might just work.

The Green Tea Amasake

Could be interesting. If not, I could always just go with straight up SAKE. For extra fun heavy alcohol consumption.
Okay...here we went to the back of the pavilion and had some sort of sparkling sake. It was good!
epcot+drinking+around+the+world+Japan.jpg

(Not my picture.) It looks milky in the picture above but it's clear once it's poured, looks like Sprite.
Morrocco

Straight up skipping. Not one drink interested me here. I'm still recovering as I move through to the next country that is a MUST for stopping!!!
Had a shot in Spice Road Table that was sort of like chocolate milk with a kick...I think I was the only one that liked it. :teeth:
France

The elusive Grey Goose Slushie is MINE!!

It's raved about. It's Sweet Dee's favorite. It will be a must stop on the tour. No ifs, ands or buts!
Yesssssssssssssssss. Personally I like the orange one, tastes like a creamsicle to me! Husband looooves the lemon one.
Are we still walking? Floating? Throwing up?
:rotfl2:
Jolly Ole England

Possibly my favorite country on this planet. I love all things British.

And all things British in alcohol is mostly beer. So actuallly I prefer things like British history, British men, British literature & British movies.. but could pass on their choice drinks.

But if we are here in the pub.. might try this:

A pear based beer. Never tried it. Might be ok. Might be gross. Might be I'm too drunk to taste the difference at this point!
Ooooh...that beer sounds yummy. This was our first stop on our drinking extravaganza and we started off with shots. Specifically red-headed sl... Uh, you know!! (And I say that as a redhead!)

Finally we are stumbling into...

Oh Canada

Now, I am disappointed. I was hoping to find a place to purchase Ice-Wine. And nada outside eating at Le Cellier- which is NOT on the agenda.

So again, I'm left with mostly beer choices. And this country will probably be skipped... but if not...

Here's an apple based cider that might work:

Skipped Canada! Hard cider is soooo good though, I need to get this there!!
So the real question is... who's with me?

Who's sharing the copious amounts of alcohol I have planned and stumbling around the world with me? (after the races OF COURSE!!).
I totally would if we were there at the same time! As you can see from my above list we went with shots so we wouldn't get so full...!!! But you have opened my eyes to some delicious drinks here!

I want to drink (stumble, crawl, whatev!) around the world with you! that canto loopy and grey goose slushie look AWESOME! can you get either of those anywhere besides epcot? id love to try one when we're there for our anniversary, but we won't be in epcot this trip

Okay...this is my kind of training! :thumbsup2

::yes:: Me too! I have, like, 1 glass of wine with dinner each week. I was in WDW with my friends over Princess Half weekend and we to do a little World Showcase drinking, so I'll see what I can contribute...

YHEA!! Love getting the personal recommendations!

Oh man, BOTH those margaritas sound good. What was better?

I HAD THAT SHOT. At least, I think I did. From Kringla...I believe the CM said it was potato vodka. If you like yourself at all, skip this. It buuurrrrned.

Yhea I think I will skip it. Why waste tolerance levels here when there are so many better drinks to be had?!?!?!

We skipped China. :sad2: That Canto Loopy sounds delish!

I will keep you informed on the outcome of this drink!

Darn, we skipped Germany too! :sad2: I'm so glad you mentioned the Apple stuff, definitely want to try that!

I'm guessing this might get skipped but we'll see.....

::yes:: This stuff is really good, highly recommend it.

This is the second recommendation on this wine! So it's a must I think!

Mind over matter!!

Says she who will be stepping over the drunk person laying down on the ground of the World Showcase.

We skipped USA. :confused3

Okay...here we went to the back of the pavilion and had some sort of sparkling sake. It was good!

I did not come across any sparkling sake in my reserach. This is good to know and it def. pipes my interest..... I actually don't mind reg. sake but would probably like sparkling sake!!! I may do a substitue here for this instead!!!

Had a shot in Spice Road Table that was sort of like chocolate milk with a kick...I think I was the only one that liked it. :teeth:

Yhea, this isn't selling me. Maybe someone else will get this and I can try it...

Yesssssssssssssssss. Personally I like the orange one, tastes like a creamsicle to me! Husband looooves the lemon one.

I think I would like any of them. Maybe I will have two. You know, because I have not had enough already! :)

:rotfl2:

Ooooh...that beer sounds yummy. This was our first stop on our drinking extravaganza and we started off with shots. Specifically red-headed sl... Uh, you know!! (And I say that as a redhead!)

I have been corrected- this is the cider. The Canada one is the beer. So the pear Cider here might be good. A shot might work too. If I'm still alive.

Skipped Canada! Hard cider is soooo good though, I need to get this there!!

I totally would if we were there at the same time! As you can see from my above list we went with shots so we wouldn't get so full...!!! But you have opened my eyes to some delicious drinks here!

I will be at Epcot during ToT as well.. which is F&W time. And I THINK they have Ice-Wine out at F&W. Which means I will cross Canada off my list for PHM and go with the ice-wine at F&W! But I'll have to reserach this more.

I am hoping with a group of girls going through- we can share drinks/shots/beers and that will allow us to try more countries!!!

Thank you for your input. I think it convinced me to change up some plans....

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong- but I do NOT think you can get these outside EPCOT. But there are probably lots of good options on drinks at other resturants you visit!!!

Or you can take up running and come to the PHM..and join our cupcake/alcohol crawl! :)

Margaritas...personally I liked the POM one better, but I'm not a huge fan of orange. :confused3 My friend that ordered the orange one really liked it.
ETA: ACK, just looked back at my instagram...I was wrong, I got the Wild Passion Fruit margarita, not the Pomegranate. My one friend did get the Blood Orange. The other friend went for Pineapple. I still liked mine the best! :teeth:

The sparkling sake was a pleasant surprise! From what I remember (which admittedly is not much...ahem) it was very crisp and refreshing. :thumbsup2

We didn't share drinks (well, we tasted one another's)...what we did share was cupcakes. We got to try 7-8 over the course of the weekend because everything was split between 3 or 4 of us. :thumbsup2

Happy to help with your *training*!! :rotfl2: :drinking1

I really like orange. And I really like POM. So that could be a tough call. I THINK the answer lies in having one at F&W time. And the other one at PHM. I like that answer! :)

Yup- got the cupcakes covered. There's a group called the "Cupcake Girls" for PHM that I am part of. We are very busy planning out our cupcake crawl as well. Any recommendations on those?

Happy to help with your *training*!! :rotfl2: :drinking1

Honestly, between the alcohol, the cupcakes & the costumes.. I'm not sure when I'll fit running in! hahahahah!! :)

TOTAL MILES RUN: 12.61 miles.

I had a good week overall despite some problems here & there....

Monday 4/14:

Run 1.37 miles to try out the new shoes. Verdict: no pain.

Bigger news- located & booked a contract to rent points to stay at AKL for Princess Half. Baby Zebras... here we come!!!

Karen and I will be waking up each morning to a view like this.

We will probably share the same chair and everything. Just like this picture.

Tuesday- 4/15

0 miles. After work took Brownies to Pottery place for badge-work.

Wednesday- 4/16

0 miles. After work took Cadettes to LEGOLAND for comic-artist badge work!

Thursday- 4/17

3.11 miles. 3.11 HORRIBLE MILES. The kind that suck every last breath out of you and make you wonder what business you have doing any running at all? I came home and cried. My feet were irritated mid-run with my new shoes. It was all out.. BAD!!!

Friday- 4/18

3.12 miles. Same exact route as the day before. Shaved a minute off my average mile back down to 12:22. Loosened the laces on my shoes and had no feet problem!

Saturday- 4/19

0 miles. But egg dying!

And I did some stuff for Sarah's Birthday party next week along with finishing my fish extender gift for the girls: ages 5-10. (for the cruise). They are getting Minnie Manicure sets complete with Minnie vinyl things for their nails...

I thought they turned out cute.....

Sunday- 4/20

Miles- 5

I asked my husband to run with me. I was hesitant to do it as I don't particularly like running with people because I'm so bad at it & worry I'm slowing them down..

But I figured it would keep me accountable.

(ahem. New Sparkle Skirt below. I was right.. I like the slim cut better!! Also notice it's my Raw Threads 19.3 "Princess In Training" Hoody)

And it did. I was done right around 2 miles. But we had a lake to run around. After that, I wanted to take the fast route back home (which would have clocked 4 miles) and he pushed the longer route. At one point I told him 'to go ahead without me, I was slowing down' He said "We started together, we'll end together" It kept me trucking on when all I wanted to do was stop and walk.

And we did it together. I made 5 miles at a respectable 12:31 average mile pace. Slow for him. I felt it though. This was the longest I went since the Wine & Dine. And my head hurt after (I have theories on why this happens to me... I'll share at another time). But, NO LEG OR FEET PAIN AT ALL!! Woot! :cool1:

Then.. we had Easter!!!

Chocolate Ducks

Beautiful girls

A sunny, bright, feel-good day.... family, friends, good dinner, fun rides in old cars....

And, of course, lots of sugar.

Happy Easter My Dis Friends!!!

:lovestruc Your Easter looks like it was fabulous! I'm jealous, mine was just lot of dog hair and poop. ;)

Yes, now we have to recreate the photo of the girls in the chair together...good luck getting both our a$$eS in that chair! :lmao:

The slim cut looks amazing on you! I noticed it and the hoodie right away but didn't want to continue to point out your clothing on FB, so I just chose to instead use our supergoldenlogashellname, because that is much better than looking like a Sparkleaddict??? :confused3

Those pics of the girls for Easter came out so pretty! Again...jealous...I was in grungy work clothes all day...I did, however, have a whipped cream fight with Savannah...in the middle of the house...which is always fun, never fun to clean up, and good for the soul. We were sticky for hours. :goodvibes

Oh I have to send you a pic. My iron-ons for my PHM costume came and I put them on my apron and they look amazing! I don't know how I will wait to wear this thing. (I'm not gonna send it now though b/c it's 5am and I'm not sure if you are awake and/or would appreciate a text from me at 5am) :p

Nice job on the mileage! It sounds like the shoes are going to work!! I love when that happens! I think I will get to try my shoes today, finally! :hyper:

I keep coming back and adding things I remember. :lmao:

I also noticed in your Easter running photo that you look fabulously skinny my dear... :thumbsup2 ...like enough that if you think the medium shirts we got are tight, I'm starting to worry about the large being skin tight on me! I'm not going to look much like your Tweedle if I don't get my a$$ in gear!
