If Not By Sea then By Run-June '14 Cruise/Oct '14 ToT 10 Miler/Feb '15 PHM PTR

Golden!!!!! :thumbsup2 Hey, I told you I'm up for almost ANY cupcake as long as it doesn't have bacon, so I'm all for trying that lemon! ;)

I have no idea what an FE is and this gift stuff is confusing me. I'm sure it's cruise lingo, since I know all the other lingo in the world. :p Why do you get gifts on cruises, but not when you go to WDW? Can I have a gift for PHM? I want a gift!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Sweet Dee- I am giving you the best gift of all for PHM. The gift of...(wait for it...) ME!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

What more do you want?

FE is short for "Fish Extender" which is term for the fish outside each stateroom on the Disney Cruise Line. Each sailing usually has a 'group' and you sign up via Disboards (or FB page now) to join the FE exchange.

Everyone who joins is put on a list and you buy or make gifts to place in special made FE (search fish extender on Etsy and you will see what they look like) hanging from your fish outside you room.

Our sailing ended up with like 150 cabins (not people- CABINS) signing up. So split into 7 groups. My current group has 15 cabins. (around 30 adults, and 30 children). So I am making a cabin gift for each one. Plus a gift for each 'child'.

Clear as mud? :)

Uh, yes, just about as clear as mud. :p

You are so right! JazziritNicoleTweedleDum is MY gift! HA! I'm the lucky one!!! :lovestruc

Man. This one is easy.

Big. Fat. ZERO.

That's right- Zero miles. Whoop.

Foot in recovery.

However- my weekly wrap up in dollar amount is quite high.

With the purchase of the new sparkle skirt.

And new shoes. Much needed.

I give you...

"Brooks Transcend"

They pretty much transcended a LOT of money out of my wallet.

Let's hope they ALSO transcend my running.

I'm giving it a short go tomorrow with a mile warm up. Fingers crossed!!

That's all I got. I had crazy busy weekend taking 15 Cadette Girl Scouts (ages 11-12) to an overnight at a waterpark.

And now I have to get ready for another work week. Weekends go by too fast.

Over & out.

Hoping for a semi-better weekly wrap up next week. I can only go up in mileage and down in dollars, right? :)

Can't wait to hear how the test run with the Transcend's goes! I've heard some good things. I just got some new Brooks. I've tried other shoes but I just don't like them the way I do Brooks. I'm running in the Cadence now.

Hope your mileage goes up and your spending goes down next week! Sounds like you had a full weekend, we did here as well!

I think we'll play tradesies this week...you run this week and I won't. This morning busted my pinkie toe and ripped the nail BAD. I won't be running for a few days at least, I can barely walk in flip flops and it's throbbing just sitting here. :sad2:

OUCH!!!

I hope it heals quick!

Yay for new shoes!

Sorry you weren't able to run but hopefully your injuries heel soon!

I have funneled my Type A tendancies into a worthwhile project I like to call:

"What Country Does she Go Down In?"
A.K.A Drinking around the World Showcase.

I have reserached available alcohol options in all countries and have come up with a plan to compliment my cupcake consumption.

Now Small Disclaimer:

(see small). I actually never drink. So accomplishing this actual plan in it's entirety has relatively small odds. I will either need to cut drinks out or share all drinks with 1-2 other people. Otherwise you will see me face down in a country - probably Country #3 (China)... perhaps naked... (which would not be a pretty site). And we just don't want to go there......

Back to normal size font. In my dream land I'm totally conquering each and every country with THIS PLAN!!!

(oh other disclaimer- none of these pictures are mine- I found them online and so if it's your picture..thank you! I don't claim it as mine.. please don't sue me for copyright infringement...thank you- good bye).

So let's start at the very beginning- a very good place to start...
When you sing you begin with 'do-re-mi'. When you drink you begin with "Mexico-Norway-China" ( I sing just like Julie Andrews in case you were all wondering.. .NOT)

Mexico:

Well- regardless of the new reports of PRE-MADE DRINKS (oh the horror!).. I will still go to La Cava for a still undermined margarita...

And so it will begin....

Norway is next.

I will in all honesty probably skip this country as it only offers beer (which I am not a huge fan) and one shot of some rye tasting stuff. I didn't even google a picture based on the high likelyhood (99.9%) of me skipping this country. Don't tell the Vikings.

China.

Well, I have to stop here and raise a glass to the birth country of my sweet girl!

There are two options that pipe my interest.

Tipsy Ducks in Love. Which is coffee & boubon & chocolate. I'm not a big coffee fan even though this drink gets good reviews. So I think I will probably move to the:

Canto Loopy

Cantaloupe and Vodka. I can make it work!

Germany

Well, this a beer country. And as discussed above- I'm not a huge beer fan. I might skip this country but if I don't... I will do a shot of this:

Berentzen Apple

I like Apple. It might work.

Italy

The land of the wines. So it seems rather natural to look for wines to drink.

After reading through reviews... I thought this one would be a nice one to try:

Rosa Regale is billed as a sweet wine that has tastings of sweet strawberry and rasberry.

Hmmm. I guess this would be a good time to realize that I'm pairing mixed drinks, wine & maybe beer together. Yhea, I will have problems making it through the Countries!!!

Moving on......

The Good Ole' USA

This may get skipped.

If it doesn't... I will be trying the Frozen Red Stag Lemonade.

It has the words "Frozen" and "Lemonade" which sounded better than the other offerings which were beer.....

Looks good to me.

Japan

Japan kept trying to sell me on the frozen beer. I just am not interested. I finally found something else that might just work.

The Green Tea Amasake

Could be interesting. If not, I could always just go with straight up SAKE. For extra fun heavy alcohol consumption.

Morrocco

Straight up skipping. Not one drink interested me here. I'm still recovering as I move through to the next country that is a MUST for stopping!!!

France

The elusive Grey Goose Slushie is MINE!!

It's raved about. It's Sweet Dee's favorite. It will be a must stop on the tour. No ifs, ands or buts!

Are we still walking? Floating? Throwing up?

Jolly Ole England

Possibly my favorite country on this planet. I love all things British.

And all things British in alcohol is mostly beer. So actuallly I prefer things like British history, British men, British literature & British movies.. but could pass on their choice drinks.

But if we are here in the pub.. might try this:

A pear based beer. Never tried it. Might be ok. Might be gross. Might be I'm too drunk to taste the difference at this point!

Finally we are stumbling into...

Oh Canada

Now, I am disappointed. I was hoping to find a place to purchase Ice-Wine. And nada outside eating at Le Cellier- which is NOT on the agenda.

So again, I'm left with mostly beer choices. And this country will probably be skipped... but if not...

Here's an apple based cider that might work:

So the real question is... who's with me?

Who's sharing the copious amounts of alcohol I have planned and stumbling around the world with me? (after the races OF COURSE!!).

lol... I love the detailed plan :) When we were in Epcot a couple years ago I tried both the Rosa Regale and the Grey Goose slushie. Both were delicious. I had actually gotten the Grand Marnier slushie but stole (I mean traded for) my husband's Grey Goose slushie since I liked it so much better.

That is what I like to hear.. positive reviews of my drink choices!!! :)

Who's with you?!?! AS IF you need to ask! :cool1:

First off, you should have used my photo of the slushie, it's better. :lmao:

secondly, if you did any counting in my TR, you will know that I had THREE drinks. That's it. Over hours. And I was tipsy....so we can share these beverages and at least maybe we'll be halfway around before we're passed out. I am what we call a wanna-be-lush. I take pics, I talk about it galore...but then I start drinking and I'm done after a couple. :p

I'm iffy on the shot, the tea, & the pear beer...but if you get me drunk enough I'll drink anything. :rotfl2:

We CAN do this! Maybe we should train for it. ::yes::

Oh, I feel another word coming on...

DrunkenMockingbirdSuperGoldenSpazzaJazziritCupcakeMargaritaSparkleJamboTweedles!

Yhea, I'm all talk too.

Unless I can get my drinking miles up with my running miles I'll be done after 2-3 too! but if we share between 2-3 people we MIGHT be able to get through all the countries!

I have to say I really want at least 4 of them... the margarita, the China drink, the Wine in Italy & Grey Goose. And wouldn't mind adding the Japanese drink or the American thingy.....

I giggled outloud at my desk with the new name addition. Hey, Disney didn't space it. They must have conceeded that our new musical number will blow away Mary Poppins and maybe they want to fund it?! I forsee a new ride at Disney now with us in it.

Also, what the h#ll happened to my ToT ticker . I guess Disney just decided I was most deflinetly not going to suceed in that race and so they removed it for me?!?! Too much cupcake and alcohol talk and not enough running talk?!

Nope, look again, they put a space between cupcake and Margarita. ;)

I have no idea what happened, but you need to fix it. I shouldn't have to be reminded daily, multiple times, that you are going on a cruise without getting to see that at least I'm going somewhere in 10 months!

That made no sense. I'm not fixing it b/c that's just how I'm rolling today. No sense sally. You can call me that too...but my sister's name is sally, so that's weird.

This is all weird. I feel like I've been drinking but I haven't. no fun! :rolleyes2

Disney is clearly failing to realize the awesomeness that is the Tweedles.

My cruise ticker will be gone in 45 short days. And then I can add the Tweedle Ticker. I'm just wondering why Disney decided I should not go to ToT 10 miler? Perhaps they have seen the state of my bank account and pulled the plug. Maybe my husband paid them off?!?! So many possibilities.

None as simple as "Mickey Path is down". :)

Sally.

Love the new words that keep coming out of this ptr!!!! :lmao:

We are pretty much creative geniusus. Is that spelled right? Probably the fact that it's not takes me out of the genius category, huh?

:crowded:

Ephemere is actually beer & not cider as an FYI. We did the Le Cellier Signature Lunch in October & Ephemere was one of the beers served. That said, Unibroue is one of my favorite breweries now as it actually has flavor and notes to it. (I have like 5 of their beers in the fridge now)

Sounds like a good plan to drink around the world.

Hmm.. maybe then the Pear one in England is the Cider. One of the ones I was looking up had 'Cider' in it's description.

Well see, now that you have recommended it, I'll have to try it regardless.... if I'm still walking............. Although I still really want ice-wine!!!

Magner's is a Cider. I've had it before at The Pub. I think I've tried every Cider on the market nowadays save some craft ones. My favorite is Stella Cidre followed by Ace Cider.
