I have funneled my Type A tendancies into a worthwhile project I like to call:
"What Country Does she Go Down In?"
A.K.A Drinking around the World Showcase.
I have reserached available alcohol options in all countries and have come up with a plan to compliment my cupcake consumption.
Now Small Disclaimer:
(see small). I actually never drink. So accomplishing this actual plan in it's entirety has relatively small odds. I will either need to cut drinks out or share all drinks with 1-2 other people. Otherwise you will see me face down in a country - probably Country #3 (China)... perhaps naked... (which would not be a pretty site). And we just don't want to go there......
Back to normal size font. In my dream land I'm totally conquering each and every country with THIS PLAN!!!
(oh other disclaimer- none of these pictures are mine- I found them online and so if it's your picture..thank you! I don't claim it as mine.. please don't sue me for copyright infringement...thank you- good bye).
So let's start at the very beginning- a very good place to start...
When you sing you begin with 'do-re-mi'. When you drink you begin with "Mexico-Norway-China" ( I sing just like Julie Andrews in case you were all wondering.. .NOT)
Mexico:
Well- regardless of the new reports of PRE-MADE DRINKS (oh the horror!

).. I will still go to La Cava for a still undermined margarita...
And so it will begin....
Norway is next.
I will in all honesty probably skip this country as it only offers beer (which I am not a huge fan) and one shot of some rye tasting stuff. I didn't even google a picture based on the high likelyhood (99.9%) of me skipping this country. Don't tell the Vikings.
China.
Well, I have to stop here and raise a glass to the birth country of my sweet girl!
There are two options that pipe my interest.
Tipsy Ducks in Love. Which is coffee & boubon & chocolate. I'm not a big coffee fan even though this drink gets good reviews. So I think I will probably move to the:
Canto Loopy
Cantaloupe and Vodka. I can make it work!
Germany
Well, this a beer country. And as discussed above- I'm not a huge beer fan. I might skip this country but if I don't... I will do a shot of this:
Berentzen Apple
I like Apple. It might work.
Italy
The land of the wines. So it seems rather natural to look for wines to drink.
After reading through reviews... I thought this one would be a nice one to try:
Rosa Regale is billed as a sweet wine that has tastings of sweet strawberry and rasberry.
Hmmm. I guess this would be a good time to realize that I'm pairing mixed drinks, wine & maybe beer together. Yhea, I will have problems making it through the Countries!!!
Moving on......
The Good Ole' USA
This may get skipped.
If it doesn't... I will be trying the Frozen Red Stag Lemonade.
It has the words "Frozen" and "Lemonade" which sounded better than the other offerings which were beer.....
Looks good to me.
Japan
Japan kept trying to sell me on the frozen beer. I just am not interested. I finally found something else that might just work.
The Green Tea Amasake
Could be interesting. If not, I could always just go with straight up SAKE. For extra fun heavy alcohol consumption.
Morrocco
Straight up skipping. Not one drink interested me here. I'm still recovering as I move through to the next country that is a MUST for stopping!!!
France
The elusive Grey Goose Slushie is MINE!!
It's raved about. It's Sweet Dee's favorite. It will be a must stop on the tour. No ifs, ands or buts!
Are we still walking? Floating? Throwing up?
Jolly Ole England
Possibly my favorite country on this planet. I love all things British.
And all things British in alcohol is mostly beer. So actuallly I prefer things like British history, British men, British literature & British movies.. but could pass on their choice drinks.
But if we are here in the pub.. might try this:
A pear based beer. Never tried it. Might be ok. Might be gross. Might be I'm too drunk to taste the difference at this point!
Finally we are stumbling into...
Oh Canada
Now, I am disappointed. I was hoping to find a place to purchase Ice-Wine. And nada outside eating at Le Cellier- which is NOT on the agenda.
So again, I'm left with mostly beer choices. And this country will probably be skipped... but if not...
Here's an apple based cider that might work:
So the real question is... who's with me?
Who's sharing the copious amounts of alcohol I have planned and stumbling around the world with me? (after the races OF COURSE!!).
