does your foot hurt more in the morning or after you've been sitting for awhile and then is ok after you've moved around a bit? it sounds a little like plantar fasciitis. I had it once and it bothered me for a few months at those times (bottom of my foot was very tender, especially my heel. felt like it was tight and had a deep bruise), but I've heard it can hurt all the time if you don't have the right shoes or good support. the thing that helped me was to get an insert for my shoe, just for the heel area. there's something about having your heel elevated just a touch that seems to help. It took a few months, but I don't have any problems with it now and it's been several years. just a thought...

No, it seems to hurt more after I've moved around a lot on it.

It does feel like a deep bruise though. Man, I hope it's not plantar fasciitis. Karen had that and was sidelined for months. :( I guess maybe I should research that....

And yes, when I elevated it, it feels better.......

I guess I will go research that...to see if I have those symptoms.

PF will hurt the WORST in the morning when you haven't moved. Telltale sign, you stand up to get out of bed in the morning and it hurts badly when you first put weight on it. Sounds more like a tendonitis issue or overuse than PF. Mine was bad but I know you can have a mild case of it, I actually think I have a bit in the right foot right now, but I haven't talked about it b/c it only hurts a little in the morning and then I usually forget about it and it doesn't bother me the rest of the day. (since I seem to be a walking injury I start feeling like a hypochondriac if I mention all the issues I'm having!) ;)

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about your injury! :( I hope you can figure out what it is. That's so frustrating.

Hooray for ADRs though! 'Ohana is always a solid choice. I've never been to Teppan Edo - LOL about it being the one must-do for your husband! :rotfl2: Cute pictures of the kiddos!

I hope you feel better soon!!

Meh, I changed my mind since I went back and read and it looks like it's on the bottom of the heel. It could be PF but maybe it's not too bad yet. Look up some stretched for it, those helped me more than anything. The one I still do is face a wall and put your hands on it. Then extend your leg back behind you and put it on the ground, trying to keep your heel down. Wow, I suck at describing that. You should feel a stretch in the back of your calf (which will help the foot too)

Hope it's feeling better this morning!!

I was reading the stuff just now & it continueously states that PF will hurt most in the morning (mine does not) and that it hurts if you bring your toes towards your shin (mine does not). Does that sound correct?

So if neither of these are the case for me, I wonder if it's possible I just really bruised my heel (but again, how on a Treadmill?). My shoes need replacing & possible some of the shock area has worn off......

Mine really starts to hurt more as the day goes on from repeated walking/pressure on the heel.

Man, this puts me in a bad mood. I feel overweight, now I'm tabled and can't run & my husband (who due to his schedule) has LOADS more 'alone' time to train is running circles around me. Just irritated all around.......

Worst is I don't KNOW what to do or what my injury is or if I just need new shoes...... I'm guessing I should probably table the running for another week to be safe regardless (even if I start to feel better)? Is that good advice?

Bleh. I feel like this today:

Aw, I know this feeling and I'm so sorry you are dealing with this! I would say to rest, ice, and try to stay off your feet if it hurts more the more you do (as if staying off your feet is really possible!) :sad2:

I know this probably doesn't sound fun, but biking would at least give you some way to move when you are feeling overweight and need to move. Do you belong to a gym or have a bike? The times I have been injured, biking has really saved me from the abyss. I hope it feels better soon!

Your little princess is THE CUTEST THING with her new hat!!!princess:

I'm sorry to read about the heel...the fact that you can't run AND your alone time has been squashed for a bit.

Any update on the passport issue? pixiedust:

Big Hugs...injuries are so darn frustrating! You want to be out there so bad...mind and heart are there but the body says NO! Keep your chin up!

One of the things that feels great on my feet after a run is to roll a golf ball standing and applying pressure onto the ball...rolling in around on the bottom of the foot. Hurts like heck too...but it does help!

Love the ADRS...love ohana!

My foot still hurts but not as much. I still don't know if I'm dealing with something more serious than I think.. or not. I am still tabling it & thinking of getting new shoes before running again. (mine have over 600 miles on them anyways). I don't know.. I'm still extremely bummed & in my own self-pity party right now.

Which I need to shake. :(

Didn't help chasing down my d#mn dog this morning while trying to get out the door because she discovered a rabbit hole and was snacking on baby rabbits. Nothing like forcing baby bunnies out of your dogs mouth right before work. Ugg! (Isn't that cheery? Man, I need to STOP writing while I'm in a funk!!)

What I NEED is some cupcakes and alcohol. :)

Oh & Mattie... no on the passport. My goal was to wait till tomorrow & call to inquiry status at that point. Tomorrow is a week from when the recieved our add'l documents. Figured that is adequete time for them to access & decide on her fate!

I did get a sequined anchor shirt though for the Roy Party. So least I have that going for me.... :)

Maybe this is a better bunny vision for this morning...seasonal disney cupcake!

Big hugs my cupcake friend...prayers and pixie dust on passport!

Oh Nicole, I'm so sorry for your injury. That really sucks. I wanted to start walking my dog again to keep my Disney walking going but I came back with such an awful cold and it's still hanging out in my lungs so right now even walking up stairs makes me winded. I did walk her on Sunday, and I'm planning to again today. Keep your chin up. You'll be running again soon. ::yes::

OMG!!! The thought of those poor baby rabbits......I have rabbits myself and I just can't imagine. I really hope she didn't kill any of them. Don't tell me if she did, it would break my heart!

Yeah on the anchor skirt!!!!! :thumbsup2

I am so sorry you're having such a rough morning!

What is it with dogs?!? Every time ours find something dead, smelly, or just plain gross she either tries to roll in it or eat it. The last time she snuch out the door the only reason we caught her was because she stopped to try to snack on something dead in the street---disgusting! But we still love her stinky self! :confused3

I'm so sorry. I've been having my own pity party lately too.

I really think a new pair of shoes is in order. You really should trade out every 300 miles or so. Make sure you are in the right shoe too. Even the same style can change from year to year so the 2014 shoe may not fit the same as the 2013 (found that out the hard way with my Brooks and ended up with Asics).

:( I'm so sorry Nicole, injuries SUCK! I think you need either 1.booze 2. cupcakes 3. more costume planning or 4. a meetup with me AND booze & cupcakes AND costume planning!

Did the shirts come yet? That might cheer you up! you could take more selfies and send them to me. Should I send you goofy selfies?! I'll do whatever is needed to cheer you up...well, nearly anything! I have my limits! ;)

Well this cupcake totally fits the theme of my morning. I can eat a 'bunny' cupcake while my dog eats actual bunnies. It's the day of bunny eating.

Mine, I'm sure, tastes better..... :)

I am excited by the anchor shirt. It's sparkly and cute... my Cruise FB group is having a paaarty one night at sea in the Roy Disney Suite (so exciting!) and our 'mascot' is anchors . So there is the requirement we all show up in something anchor theme. Which is why I purchased this! it was a GREAT deal.... which is even more exciting!!

This is the same dog that ate the rat poisen- apparently she is drawn to disgusting things. The worst part is I had to chase her across the yard with the darn thing..and then when I finally caught her (she's freaking FAST) she's all muddy (from digging up the bunnies) and won't let go of the bunny... I'm trying to shake it from her mouth while not holding her near me at all because I'm in my work clothes... as I was TRYING to get out the door... THEN she tries to lick me after she drops the darn thing. I'm like.. uh, h#ll no- grossness... it was not a great start to my morning.......

Dang- we need an actually 'party' to get out of our 'pity'. Too bad we are not close.. we could console ourselves with drinks, cupcakes & the song Biblo Baggins. :thumbsup2

I am thinking new shoes too. Maybe I'll go tonight....

I am glum. But this made me smile.

I am just blue about the injury. My weight (which I counter, of course, by eating MORE cr#p- because that's how I work....). The fact that I'm so busy and my hubby is pretty much... NO HELP AT ALL with three kids, the house or anything.... Big ole' Pity party.

I need copious amounts of cupcakes. booze. and meetups.

I don't even feel like costume planning because I feel like what if now I can't run?!?

I need to snap out of it!!!

The shirts DID come. I was going to send you a pic.But with the injury- see note above. I'm also afraid in my state, of putting on that Medium and seeing how fat I look in it would not be good. So I've been tabling that selfie.

However, I DID just send my sewing hook up an email with a picture of what we want asking her advice and when I could get them to her for the 'final' touches!!

It'll break.. my mood. Give me another afternoon of self-pity. :lmao:

Yay on the sparkly anchor shirt!!!! I have a tee on order from etsy. I'm not about to miss a partay at The Roy due to improper anchor attire!!!!

I know that feeling and I'll let you have your pity party for ONE more day, that's it! ;)

It's funny how that works...I do the same thing when I feel bad about gaining...eat more. It's brilliant b/c then I can feel even WORSE and eat even MORE.

You got this! You have GOBS and GOBS of time! I was injured all of August and September and still had plenty of time to train (and get injured AGAIN) before February. You have a while to go before ToT! AND, I know b/c you are stubborn like me, that you will run regardless, and you CAN and WILL do it no matter what! So don't waste time and mental energy worrying about it. Rest and plan...and lay off the cupcakes maybe. Lower calorie booze??? :confused3 ;)

I can't wait to hear what your sewing guru has to say! I'm far too excited about the costumes. I was just reading a 10K trip report and counting up the characters and then thinking we should plan on some cute POSES too. Because ya know...we plan everything else, planning our poses isn't too far fetched! :lmao:

I am stubborn. I will be fine. I know this. It will all be ok. So long as my daughter's passport shows up in the next 6 weeks.

Where is a 10K trip report? Share. Share!!!

Um. I pose about as naturally and awesomely as I take selfies. Just a fair warning. The pose I'm best at is flicking someone off. But I don't think that's gonna work with any characters? :confused3

:lmao: OMG, my family thinks I'm nuts b/c I'm laughing out loud and nearly falling out of my seat while looking at the computer! :rotfl2:

Now I'm just not going to be happy unless we get a shot of us giving the finger! :rotfl: and Jazzirit hands...

Yeah, I'm not good at posing either, I spent countless hours in the mirror, trying to do my "princess pose" and ended up looking like I was holding my arms in this stiff bizarre hand hold pose... :rolleyes1

We'll be perfect Tweedles!

As for 10K/Princess recaps, there are a few I'm reading:
