If MONEY was not an issue, how many kids would you want to have?

Growing up, I used to want 10 kids.

I have 4. :)

I think growing up I was on crack.

Ok, I must say I have never understood the whole "enough money to have more kids comment." QUOTE]

Well, for me, it is the idea that at some point I would like to NOT be spending 8K per child to have them in daycare. I would like NOT to have the worry of paying for more kids to go to college. And I would like NOT to have to keep buying clothes every single week or so it seems, since they are growing like crazy.

And. let's face it, some families really do have more kids than they can take care of as well as they should due to financial constraints.

We could afford more, but I think we're good to go.... especially since I am "snipped". :thumbsup2

I am the yougnest of 4 kids. I have 3 older brothers. My oldest brother always said he wanted 12 kids when he grew up. Then I was born and his 12 year old qoute was "well maybe one and let's see how that goes."

However he is 45 years old now, no kids. His DW and him decied they do indeed really want kids and are deperatly trying with "help". (and lot's of $$ later, I guess that is indeed a finacal matter in their case, but they can afford it.) The story goes that my behavior as a kid is why he didn't want children sooner. The funny thing is my mother says I was MUCH easier then he ever was.

Good thing we don't know what we were talking about as kids, or I would be a actress and a ballerina, (and the worlds shortest model!) :rotfl: :rotfl: :goodvibes

Papa Deuce, DH is a college professer. That is part of our college savings plan.

I'd like to have 3 (maybe it's the only-child in me coming out), while my BF would be happy with 2 (he's one of two).

Who knows though... maybe we'll have one and be done.

i am a sahm of one ds and will be until he goes to college, then i will be back to work.
even if we won powerball, nothing would change our decision to have only one!! it is perfect for our family. dh and i have always only wanted one, never had anything to do with money.

We have 3. And that's what I'm happy with; money really isn't an object I guess. I just feel done! And hence the tubal scheduled for this spring! ;)

If money was no object I would have tons of kids but then again I don't know if I could afford all the stickers and stamps to keep them entertained. :confused3 :confused3

If I could keep them untill middle school then return after high school, I'll have 4 or 5. If not, I'll take 4 dogs :rolleyes1

You're asking on a bad day :rotfl:

I would chose to still not be a SAHM and end with two. We are half way there. :)

very nice.

I have 3 and thats all I would want.. If it so happened that I had more I would definitely love more, but I cant imagine having more than 3 and it doesnt just have to do with money.. My kids are very active and have their own activities that they do, so Im already running enough with the 3 I have.. Even if money was no issue and I could afford someone to help I wouldnt want to do that..
