Hi,
I don't know why this is confusing me but I cannot think of how this works? My hubby and I are going down for a quick Dec. weekend for his work and I only have one day to go to the parks. Do I buy a ticket before we get down there or do I just buy at gate? I normally stay on property but we will not be for this so am wondering how I link just a one day ticket to be able to schedule fastpasses? OR am I not able to do that? do we get a magic band? thanks!!

Yes you can use a one-day ticket to schedule one day of fastpasses. You can schedule these ahead of time only if you buy the ticket ahead of time. If you wait until you get there, you won't be able to book the fastpasses until you buy and link the ticket. You can link a ticket by itself, it does not have to be tied to a resort reservation.

Since you are not staying at a Disney resort, you won't receive a magic band, but if you have an old one already registered to you, it should work.

Because you're not staying at a Disney resort, you can book your fastpass reservations up to 30 days ahead. You've got to have valid park admission purchased and linked before you can book them, though.

Thank you! SO is the easiest way to buy the one day ticket through Disney online? And then I will automatically be able to link it to my Disney experience? I do have old Magic Bands ...hmmm....Also, I forget, if staying offsite, how soon can I make a dining reservation for that day?

The authorized resellers usually don't deal with anything less than three or four days. Disney is probably your only option.

yes I would buy from disney I think you book dinning 180 days in advance and your FP should be 30 days starting at 7am

Offsite guests can also make Adrs 180 days in advance. So if you're going this December, you're good to make them now.

If you buy your one-day ticket online with Disney, and you already have MagicBands or RFID cards linked to the same MDX account, you can waltz right in through the touchpoints and won't even need to come see us at Will Call. :) Also, you'll have your FP+ window at 30 days out, as other posters have pointed out.

Make sure you select the correct date you'll be coming when purchasing your ticket online, because one-day tickets are tiered into seasons - Value, Regular, and Peak.
