It's going to be in the 90s around here the next few days so if I can keep my house at around 73 I feel pretty cool.:smooth: What about you?

74 degrees when I'm in the house moving around. I can keep it a few degrees higher when I'm just sitting.

Now upstairs, while sleeping is another matter. I keep it at 69 degrees at night on the level where my bedrooms are.

I live in Vegas, "in the 90s" is "nice out." I keep the AC set to 78. I'd like to set it lower but keeping it there keeps my summer bill just under the $500 a month mark.

My car thermometer said it was 91 outside this afternoon. :( It's humid too so that makes it even worse. I generally keep the a/c at 72-74 at home.

Unfortunately we're going up north tomorrow and staying until Tuesday, and our camper's a/c isn't working. :( The guest camper a/c works fine, but we can't go over there as we're having guests for the weekend. I'll probably be happy to get home Tuesday, where we have a working a/c. :)

I hate, hate, HATE being hot so if we had a/c, I would keep it about 18 (*mumbles in her head* double it and add 30 for an approximation of F sooooo) or 66F. Right now, we don't have a/c and with the humidity its 43C..109F. I'm also coming down with a cold and I'm in the fevery stage so I feel like I'm in the actual Hell.

Sorry for going O/T and whining..no one else is home to listen to me lol

I live inland here and we can have days at 45C (113F). When that happens there really isn't much we can do - except leave the country.

But usually the AC is set between 20-23C.

25C. That's about 77F if my math is right.

We typically only turn it on when the temp is over 30C (about 85F). I know that isn't particularly hot in some areas, but it seems like it here.

I don't often use the a/c because I like having the windows open during the summer and prefer window fans in the evening...

....but my DH or my sons usually complain if it's above the mid-80's, so then I put it on for short periods of time - usually around 75 or 76 - and I sit under a blanket or sit outside!

Hopefully Up North will be cooler for you. Are you heading for the UP?

This is the first time in 3 years we have put our AC units in the windows but it's really the first time we've had 90 plus temps with high humidity for over one day! :daisy:

73 and I'm loving it! Our downstairs unit stopped working last week and it was a couple days before someone could come out. It "only" got up to around 80 in the house, but it made for a couple of long days.

Sorry you're not feeling well Kim. . . :(

((((hugs))))

So our 3 level home only has one unit and I'm usually in the lowest level (family room) watching tv and dh is in the highest level watching something else (bedroom). Crazy thing is I'm always cold and heat rises so we really should switch but I absolutely HATE watching tv in bed. The AC is set to 76 and I'm sometimes in a sweatshirt in the family room and dh is sweating upstairs. Go figure.
