If it rains, what do do with a 19mo?

Trying to come up with a few plans in case it rains next week. Where can a little guy stay dry and entertained for a while?

Definately plan to stay in the parks if it rains....we found ducking into shows was great -- and have a newfound love for Country Bear Jamboree and Mickey's Philharmagic. Don't forget your stroller cover!

Seriously -pack ponchos, stroller cover and extra set of clothes and keep right on going!!!! Its usually still pretty hot and steamy in August! We have had some of our best times in the park when its been rainy - shorter lines, people having fun tromping from one thing to another - just go for it!!!

Why stay dry at all?

Seriously...we went on his first trip when my son was that age and he loved the daily afternoon rain shower....As long as it's not thundering and you've got a change of clothes, go for it!! One of my favorite pictures from that trip is him completely conked out in the stroller, he had just been playing in some puddles and was exhausted.

My DD was happiest of all when it was raining in the parks at 19 months. At 4 years old, she still feels the same way. We had to stop to jump in every puddle along the way, but the rain didn't "dampen" any part of the park experience, and may have improved it since the rains cause some people to leave and help thin the crowds a little.

Just repeating what everyone has said. We always pack the stroller cover and an extra set of clothes and our ponchos. We got rained on when LO was 5mo and we just kept on going, the stroller cover was great. Last trip I dont think it rained, but Im counting on rain our next trip. She will be 22mo and I will still pack the stroller cover and an extra et of clothes.They wont melt and most kids like getting wet. There are plenty of places you can duck into for awhile if needed or even go to the parent center area. GL
