If I were offered 1000 free points at the DVC resort of my choice, I would pick......

As much as we love the VGF it would be tempting to use them there but I think a BLT MK grand villa would be even more amazing.

Hummm. Assuming these are one-time use points I would either spring for an extended family vacation at Aulani OR if none of my relatives wanted to pony up for their own airfare to get there (very likely they wouldn't) then we could go for 2 weeks with just ourselves in an OV 1 bedroom (we normally only do studios so that would be a total splurge) OR maybe, just maybe waste the points on a DCL cruise because we'd normally not use points for DCL...

If a one-time thing, OKW because I don't want to do anything so special I can't do it again.

If it's a contract, gimme VGF please.

I would choose Grand Floridian and rent out the points to get $15,000, maybe more, and invest in stocks to pay for kids future college tuition, LOL.

OMGosh I am so boring, whether it's a one time use or forever points, where someone else pays the maint ;) Villas at my beloved Wilderness Lodge and I would always get to stay in a 2 bedroom.

One time use points:

I'd kick in 8 additional points, and stay in a 1-BR @ OKW from January 1 - February 4, 2015 (1008 points).

Lifetime points:

I'd take them at the VGF and use them elsewhere...

I don't know for sure.

Can I hold them until the Poly is open? Or hold them until the Wilderness Resort Villas open?

If I could use them this October, and there is availability, maybe for a GV at the VGC, which would be a nice upgrade from the 2 bedroom I now have booked.
Then I could invite more people.

To own: Of the resorts now and if we can't break them up at a few resorts, then BCV.

If we can break them up, then 400 BCV, 400 BLT and 200 AKV.

If we could wait for Poly, then there instead of BLT.

If it's just one time use, I'd do Aulani.

I'd wait for the Poly or I'd split them 200 at BWV, 300 at BCV and 500 at VGF. :)

Enough for a week at peak at:
HHI,
VGF
The remainder to add on at our SSR contract.

VGF for sure. We were fortunate enough to stay there in Feb and we totally fell in love with the place. We own BW & BLT and love both but VGF was really special. Would buy more points but they are soooooo expensive.

BLT, since it's easier to get a room at peak time 11-7 months ahead. GCV/GFV is nicer, but tougher to reserve a desired date during peak season even with home resort advantage.
