I told DH that we were done Christmas/Birthday shopping, and I placed yet another order at Amazon.com and he is going to give me a what for!!

Anyone else having a hard time stopping with the shopping?? I know I can't be the only one!

I got my son the American Idiot Broadway Cast cd, a Green Day book, and I ordered the Vegas Vacation DVD for DH.

Now I am really, really, really done, and I won't shop ANYMORE!!

Really, I won't.

I thought I was finished but all of a sudden I have three or four more deliveries headed my way! My weakness has been Kohls, gotta love those stacked discounts/free shipping. Guess they love me too since they sent me two of the same item by mistake, didn't charge me for it twice though. But now I have to hike to the store and "return" it, ugh.

That's me for sure! It's a standard joke in my house that I can't stop Christmas shopping.
Even though I bought just about everything but it's over 2 weeks away, how can I stop now??
I live in the stores on the weekends and use the midweek for the internet shopping.

I could write this post. I just told DH last night I was done. I looked at the budge boards (BIG mistake) and they were talking about the "deals" for today. I bought the "deal" at 9.99 but of course I hate paying shipping so I added a 22$ item to it for free shipping

I used to be like that, but with 3 kids in college I have learned to stop. Normally I am done by now, but right now all I have done for 2 of my kids is their stockings. One wants new golf clubs for Christmas, so we will take him shopping when he comes home for break. The other one is pondering an Ipad. Needless to say this will be their whole budget on one gift each most likely. I am much less stressed than I used to be when I was running around all over the place trying to buy all sorts of different things. I am so glad to be over shopping.

I have the same problem OP. I say I am done then run across something else and can't help myself. I need to join a support group. I started shopping in August when I ran into a good deal, but this year the deals are getting better and better close to Christmas.

Yeah. I said I was done too, and then I remembered that my mom really coveted the digital frame I got for my brother last year. So today I bought one for her.

Luckily, I have not spent all of my Christmas Club money yet.

I saved $25 a week, and in the first week of November got a check for $1250. Can't tell you how much stress that takes away- to know you have the money and can shop guilt free. If you don't have a Christmas club at your bank, look into starting an ING account for next years Christmas. It will make your holiday much merrier !

I hear you! We are done shopping as we do Hanukkah (and DS' birthday which was this past weekend)...in fact, I'm done wrapping and we can relax after Friday (DS' party)...but my SIL got DD a different Duplo set than I REALLY wanted for DD so I ordered the other one on Amazon. I also ordered a puzzle rack for DD (though that is really to help me organize the living room) and a new colander for myself (mine broke).

I'm also still waiting/hoping to get camcorders for my DS and niece from Penney...the orders are in process.

Keep me away from Amazon!

I have been 'done' for DD for about 2 weeks. yet somehow i have been to the store about 5 times to exchange. return or buy more. WHY? I am going to stop. DH is done (well as soon as his stuff arrives i am)

I learned that shopping is part of the fun for me-so I keep a few thingsthat I know I am going to buy the stagger after I think I am done-I will spend time trying to price shop them instead of adding additional things-keeps me shopping but still in check.
