If I store my luggage at Hard Rock will my portable CD player be safe in the bag?

Checking into Hard Rock early in the AM and heading off to the parks. Will the portable CD player I have in one of the bags be safe in storage? It wasn't expensive but it would be very disappointing to have it stolen....

Who on these boards could confirm that? And if it did get stolen, what guarantees would you receive from a post?

The bags are put into a storage room by the bellmen. Lock your suitcase and hope that no one working there will go to the trouble of picking locks to go through the luggage.
