If I purchase BWV, how available are studios at 11months during summer (June-Aug)?

We loved our first stay at BWV last summer. We were able to purchase an existing contract for a week in a garden view studio and it was awesome.

I'm considering purchasing enough points for 8 nights annually in a garden/pool/boardwalk view studio, so about 150 points.

I don't want to purchase if I'm going to have a hard time finding a room at 11 months. Is this a concern at BWV June-Aug?

I assume the standard view rooms book out faster due to the fewer points required?

June-August is not a high-demand period for DVC. If you're happy with a P/G view then you should not have a problem booking during those months.

You shouldn't have any issues. You might run in to issues with Standard or Boardwalk at times but you should never have an issue getting a studio. Things can always change and Disney has made the summer "cheaper" so if summer starts to be cheaper than fall you might see more people starting to fight over dates.

Thanks for both responses!

Any experience booking at BWV at 7 months in the summer if I decided to own a cheaper DVC contract like Saratoga?

Once you get to 7 months, you get into every point counts territory. Then you're not just competing with other BWV owners. You're competing with everyone who bought cheaper SAPs and non-WDW resorts. However, P/G studios still seem to be in abundance inside of 7 months for most of the summer. Once you get to 5 months or less, you see limited availability.

Thank you. I think I would most likely stick with purchasing at the resort we like most, which so far is BWV. We've also stayed in a Poly studio (and will again this summer) and really enjoyed it, but love the location of BWV.

I don't like the fact that the annual point "value" at BWV appears low due to the expiration of 2042, but honestly the money we would spend on the contract is dispensable and a one time cost.

As for the annual dues... I don't mind the dues if we are staying onsite that year, but... I guess there is the option to rent out the points to more than cover the dues if we decide to skip Disney for a year.
