My mum heard today that there has been an earthquake in San Fransisco and it's affected New York... is this true as I can't find anythnig about it online?

Yeah I thought the people that told us were getting mixed up so just thought I'd ask in case there was something I was missing. Couldn't find anything online about it.

If I go by american time it's closer because we're actually leaving 10pm on the 15th Florida time! That's 3am on the 16th over here zzzzz but so worth it!

I'm excited and weepy all at once here. Excited because hols obv. Weepy because it's the first time I've left the doggies for so long esp pup. I've normally only left the pup for maybe two days at a time wish I could bring them with me but they'll be safe so it's all good.

But OMG 27 hours til I leave
4 more hours in work as well..Bouncing off the walls doesn't even begin to cover it

My doggies went off today not a bother finished work and all only funny thing was they have only given me a week off and I'm meant to be back in on thursday even though I gave them my dates six months ago.. I told them I won't be flying back for next week though

The weather in NY was wet.. the day we went shopping it was sunny every other day was very very wet!

So anyways... since I was back to work today and had a pretty bleh day and disney stuff was cheering me up I thought I might go ahead and start a little trip report.

So Day 1 was travelling...
We left the house at 3am our time which would be like 10pm the night before in Florida and got bus to airport... We arrived in airport waaaaaaaaaaay to early though but it was all good. I should probably say we is moi, my mommy and a little white teddy I call Angel that I bring as a trip mascot everywhere... (It's a bit of a laugh really. If you've heard of build a bear it's one of those I got made about 7 years ago)
Anyways so after checking in we headed through security and what not.. I reckon the security guy thinks I'm a little odd though he asked what I do for a living and I was like eh um I don't oh wait I know! he was looking at me a bit strangely but it was funny.
Soon after that we were off and it was byes byes Ireland see ya soon

First flight was like 8 hours and 30 minutes it was so long they had time to play 4 full recent movies from cinemas. I slept for most of it and then while I was awake listened to disney podcasts and what not.
Anyways we arrived in Atlanta with no delays only problem was my ear started acting up on the way down. One of my ears blocked up last year and does randomly ever since with colds and that but when we were landing in Atlanta got big pain in my ear.

This airport was probably the best because well I have two doggies i luv and was a bit sad leaving them for so long. One of my doggies is a beagle cross.. so we get off the plane in Atlanta and head off to baggage claim to switch our bags to the next plane and are met by a troupe of beagles doing spot bag checks. It was so cool and one of the ladies even got hers to do a few little tricks like high fives and stuff for us. I was amused. Once bags were sorted and what not we had another short wait for the next flight. Took something for to try stop pain in ear on next flight and then Angel (the bear) and I did a bit of plane spotting...

Flight from Atlanta to Orlando was short it was just a little over an hour so all good. Once we got our bags and stuff we headed down to wait for our non disney Mears shuttle bus and while we were waiting this passed us

I wanted to go on that instead.
When we got to our hotel we were met by very friendly staff who told us we were staying on the fourth floor of this tower block they had... that didn't go quite to plan either. Although the room was clean and spacious and nothing wrong with it that way mam didn't want to be in the tower block and up so high as it didn't seem secure and was to high up so they moved us to one of their older appartments on the ground floor in the resort area and there was a big difference in the place I thought (eg: light was falling off the wall over bathroom mirror, smoke alarm rusty etc) but I was to tired and dizzy to move any further so we stayed there. Anyway all we were going to be doing there was sleeping and showering and I couldn't see any creepy crawlies at that stage so I went zzzzzzzzzzzzz!

soooooooooooo day 2 and today

lol ok technically it began when we started travelling but I forgot to post that in the other report!
We got settled into the hotel room and then headed out to:

Our hotel had a bus to and from the park for 4 dollars but the iride stopped right outside the hotel and that was only 2.50 return and you could go and come whatever time you wanted so we went on the iride instead.
We headed to Universal side first and did a walk about really. They had started putting up halloween decorations which were looking really cool:

Actually with Shrek we got really lucky because we went to cue and the lady told us to come back in ten minutes and when we went back Fiona was out with Shrek and Donkey as well so all good. Donkey wanted to know if we brought him a leprechaun or a pot of gold and Shrek started doing Irish dancing!
Also our main purpose for going into Universal at all was for E.T. ride and were surprised and delighted that wait time was only ten minutes. Plus someone told us to listen very carefully at the end of the ride because E.T. now says your name as you're passing.. He didn't do that last time I was there but was so thrilled with it ha like highlight of the morning!
Anyways so after E.T. we headed over to

Our first stop in Islands of Adventure was at Seuss Landing where we found a ride we hadn't spotted before The Cat in the hat so went to that before heading to:

Cue over excited child!!
I ran straight for Zonkos and was delighted to see shelf loads of pygmy puffs!

I called mine Harry and actually when you buy one the witch or wizard that serves you rings a bell and announces to the shop that Harry the pygmy puff is going home to a good muggle home!
Pygmy Puff sorted we stopped outside for some Butterbeer. The cart only had frozen but it was a hot hot HOT day so was much needed

We thought it was yummy and sweet but both said we wouldn't finish a whole one ourselves as especially at the end it gets very heavily sweet.
We explored the shops for a while and then headed into Ollivanders. He actually picked two people to get wands in the show we went to. After that we headed up to ask questions about the castle.. We wanted to see inside but didn't want to do the ride as fear of spiders and what not so I was delighted to find out the have a seperate cue for people that want to do a walk through just. I think you don't see as much as people going for the ride. We only saw the hall of portraits, dumbledores office, defence against the dark arts classroom and griffindor common room but I was delighted to see any of it so didn't mind missing greenhouse and whatever else. Oh and for those interested in wait lines when we were there the wait time for this ride was 30 minutes and that was possibly the worst ride wait line I saw all week.

After Hogwarts we headed to get dinner in

We were actually a little disapointed here. Mam got cornish pasties and said they were very small and to pastry driven. I got roast chicken (it's called Roisstere Chicken or something like that) and it was very dry. Maybe it was just an off day?!
Anyways before we left we went in to check out the Hogs head.

Then went back down to Seuss Landing for the cute little show oh the stories you can tell! Before the show The Grinch was out for autographs and pictures and was being very mean! A little girl in front of me gave him a disney autograph book and he spat on it and threw it on the ground.. It was quite funny really!

After the stories you can tell we headed over to the other side of the park so I could take pics and then went back to the hotel with sore feet!

Day 3 we left earlish to go to Florida Mall to go to Bear factory really. While I was waiting around for taxi and that I snapped pic of hotel pool.

This was quite a nice pool semi heated and was open til 11.30 which was great as you could go out and then go for a swim in the evenings. Anyways after breakfast in Florida Mall our first stop was the Disney shop for our first disney bargains.

I love this place because they always have great offers they had two plushies for 25 dollars (Simba and the White Rabbit ended up leaving with us) and they had two t-shirts for 24 dollars and many other similar bargains. After Disney we got Angel's passport stamped in Build a bear and I spotted these funny little things in a shop window outside:

Then we went to M&M's world and I was highly amused. Was expecting a little shop with a few selves of sweets but it was quite big with M&M everything including pet coats with I was very tempted to get but no!

After that we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the party! We got a taxi from our hotel to Magic Kingdom and when we asked how much it was at reception they told us 45 dollars but when we rang mears they told us 34 so we went with them although they kinda seemd to forget to pick us up and it was only thanks to a nice mears driver who showed up dropping someone off at our hotel that we managed to get a taxi but still all good. We were on our way and soon came to this

Best sign in the world! Have to say as well Don't know Taxi drivers name but he was cool he was trying to avoid paying car park fee or something so gave us a little tour of disney by going another way into ticket and transportation centre and told us some information about everything we passed along the way.
Anyways after getting our tickets sorted at ticket centre and what not we were ready to head into the Kingdom for

So anyways we had our tickets for MNSSHP and our park hoppers all sorted so we got on the boat and soon started seeing this:

and I was like I'M BACK Did ya miss me!!!

Took pics of all the Halloween stuff as we went up along main street. This was my favourite scarecrow

and was very happy to find these guys:

They were one of those little details of the park we always missed.
Anyways it was hunger time so we headed for Pinocchio's Village Haus. I saved money and got mam to get me kids meal of macaroni while i hid out by the window watching dumbo flying by! Apparently you're only supposed to get kids meals if you're under 12 bleh to that I want cheaper food lol!
So soon after we headed to:

I was planning on going to see the fairies but when we got there wait for the princesses was shorter (like ten minutes only) so we went to see them instead:

It was fun. They all loved my pen with the flower on it. Belle wanted to know if the rose was enchanted like the Beast's! Mam thought all the chat with the princesses was hilarious she said it was like I was meeting up with long lost friends again lol! So after all the fun with the princesses I went to get changed into my Halloween costume and to wait for the dwarves!

We got in the line for the dwarves at 6.30 and already there was about 20 people in front of us. (I think I saw Berlioz from MNSSHP thread/Character hunt but was to shy to go up to her..If you read this I think you creeped into one of my sneaky pics of the dwarves I took from the line ) But when they came out at seven the line moved fairly quick thanks to the first of two grumpy photopass photographers we met.

I have to say photopass people were great not only did they get pics I didn't even realise they took but they also took pics on our camera no bothers which I think is nice when they're offering a paid service as well. Anyways grumpy no. 1 at the dwarves was strictly one photo per family and my mam tried to cheat by waiting in line when I went up because I was dressed as snow white so she wanted one of me on my own with them and then she came up quickly when he took mine and he was not impressed but took the pic scowling! Anyways after Dwarves we headed back to Toontown and through minnie's house there was a treat trail and Minnie had Halloween decorations up:

After the longest line I waited in all night we met Mickey and Minnie and then headed down to Tommorrowland and found Stitches dance party

That picture of Stitch is actually from the video camera. He spotted it and started dancing in front of it. Luv him After dance party we headed back through fantasyland planning on going to the other side of the park but got distracted when we practically walked into the Hag

She tried to feed me her poison apple because I was dressed like snow white!
Tremaines were in front of Cinderellas carousel as well so got pics with them then headed back out to main street to grab a spot for fireworks:

Loved them there was fireworks and ghosts everywhere lol!
Then we watched Villians Mix and Mingle:

That was actually alot shorter than I thought it was going to be it was only about ten minutes long and on the videos on you tube the show had witch Minnie but there was no witch Minnie in that show
Anyways I didn't bother lining up for pics just cut to the top and took pics in between other people getting theirs. The Villians that spotted me posed:

have your trick or treat bag ready at the end of the parade as well because CM's throw halloween chocolate in as pluto and goofy are passing!

After the parade we headed down through frontierland and kind of by accident found the Diamond Horseshoe. There wasn't very many people there and I was only really searching for Bullseye so asked a CM when he'd be there and went pin shopping while I was waiting... When I went back to the Horseshoe I found:

After that we headed down to adventureland hoping to meet Abu but weren't so lucky with that. We did get Genie, Jasmine, King Louie and these guys who started play fighting before I went up to them:

Met another grumpy photopass photographer here who obviously didn't want to take the pic with my camera as well... she nearly cut Timon and Rafiki's heads off in the pic with me oh well! Also where the adventure friends meet the CM's had trick or treat buckets that were nearly full still and they told us it had been very quiet there all night so they had loads of candy left. They thought people didn't know they were there.
When I came out of the adventures friends meeting place I spotted MONKEY and snapped this:

while a CM informed me that Tarzan was leaving now but I could get my picture with Terk if I wanted.. I was like what now :inquis: this info was totally lost on me at the time... I thought the dude beside the MONKEY was just someone dressed up and didn't realise it was actually meant to be Tarzan.. oh well slow moment! :lol:
It was very quiet down this side of the park as well after the second parade so got everything done with very little lines. Most of the characters at that point you could walk straight up to actually.
Anyways after that it was time to head home:

Loved the party CM's made it even more magical because I was dressed as Snow White so as we went around they'd either call me princess or ask how the dwarves were and all of them made sure I'd had my pic with the dwarves already telling me where they were and what not and then at the end of the night one of the CM's asked mam if she was my fairy godmother. (She didn't dress up because the banshee costume she was going to wear was to warm.) There were little random golfing and bowling games in some of the shops to keep people amused if they weren't in line for stuff. Candy wasn't bad either although this was only some of it we'd already begun tucking in when I took this pic:

The party is well worth the extra money but I'd just bring a spare pair of feet next time
