I appreciate negative posts, sometimes they can be useful to help me plan my trip. Only hearing good feedback could be detrimental to my trip planning. I'd rather those posters stayed so I could hear all sides of an experience so I can figure out if that experience is something I'd like to participate in or stay away from.

lol I try to avoid the negative posts but what I really can't stand on here are the Disney know it alls. they're annoying!!! It's cool to throw in your opinion but some folks in here present it like theirs is the only right answer and they're snippy about it too

You're right, positive feedback only really works when there is negative to balance it out.

I believe the difference lies within the people that turn the negativity towards the posters personally instead of the experience or topic that's being discussed. So yes, I agree there are some truly petty people around here.

There's more of that than I'd like for sure -- saw a bunch coming your way on that restaurant board thread. THAT was quite different than just friendly debate/disagreement, or sharing "constructive feedback" on WDW -- that was just nasty, NOT helpful, NOT even TRYING to be helpful, and totally uncalled for.

I have found that the "ignore" feature works wonders for the routinely-nasty posters. Happy to debate politely and share differing opinions, but some people are just plain nasty. Uncalled for -- "IGNORE"!!!

Agree in general! Just FYI, I noticed yesterday that OP was on the receiving end of some nastiness just for the sake of nastiness. Truly. Not critical feedback to be helpful, not differing points of view... just derision. Uncalled for.
