If I get a package with 1 day ticket, can I add days to that ticket later?

I have a room only ressie now but am considering changing it to a package with dining. If I get a 1-day park ticket in the package, can I add days to it after I get there, say 4 days and pay the equivalent for a 5-day? Also is there anything else attached to the package that would increase the amount I would pay over and above the room, ticket and dining? Like a water craft rental or Planet Hollywood discount, etc.?

Also, I have two tickets with one day left on them (MYW hoppers, unexpired). They are 6 day tickets, and I used 5 days. Can I add more days on those tickets? If I can do that, it would be cheaper than buying new tickets.

I'm trying to figure out how many days I need on my park tickets with the package. We are going for 7 nights in September but will probably need tickets for 5-6 days.

I thought if the 'day of use' you went to guest services you -could- add days to it.

Not on the MYW tickets. After 14 days you can't change them.

A year and a half ago we bought a package with a one day ticket so we could get teh DDP. At that time, we had days left on our MYW tickets. Last summer, we were able to use our one day tickets from the package to upgrade to an AP. My niece went with us and also had a one day ticket that we just updated to a 5 day MYM ticket two weeks ago for our August trip when our niece is joining us again. So I kow the one day tickets can be credited towards a ticket upgrae at later dates. Hope this helps!

I did last summer. I had days left on old PHPs and they just charged me for additional days. They did try to get me to buy a new ticket, more money of course. On 2 tix I had 3 days left, so if was a small amount to add more days.

When we booked a package last August ('06) it was with free DDP. To qualify as a package for DDP, a ONE DAY BASE MYW ticket needed to be purchased for each guest in our room. We already had seperate 10 day hoppers, so we used those for the trip, and still have the 1 day base tix. The key is, we never activated the 1 day tix....they are on our hotel room key, but since we were using seperate 10 day tix,they are un-used. Until we slide them into a entry gate at a park, we are able to put them toward new tickets. HOWEVER, we can only put 1 ticket toward 1 upgrade, not all 4 1 day tickets into 1 multiday ticket...does that make sense? Basically, our unused MYW tix from last August's package have a upgrade value of around $60 each toward a higher price ticket per person. OR, we may give them to DD as a graduation present and she will have 4 individual 1 day tix, but no hopping . I need to check on that tho, as they are currently under 4 names based on our room keys/booking of last trip, but really, since they are used up the second she walks into the park each day, I am fairly certain she can use one each day. Unless the rules have changes since August, this is my understanding of being able to upgrade 1 day base MYW tickets bought in a package. You also must do the upgrade on site...not over the phone, unless that is allowed now...that would be GREAT!

According to another very reliable unofficial website (sorry, Moderators - I really did try to find the information here, first), you can upgrade any Magic Your Way ticket within fourteen days of first use OR any time if it's NEVER been used; the ONLY thing you can do with pre-MYW tickets is use them as is for park admission - no more upgrading.

The OP asked several questions.. Let's answer them in order based on what we know to be true.

Yes. Any unused MYW ticket can be added to before it's used the first time or up to 14 days after first use. So the answer to this question is yes.

There are other things added to an MYW package but the price of a package and the price of buying tickets separately aren't signficantly different. Your individual situation may vary and you should also do your own price comparisons for your situation.

But in summary - those things are added value things. You will be paying primarily for the ticket, the dining and the hotel.

No. You cannot add days to those tickets (at least according to Disney rules & conditions). SafetyMom is right. Your only choice is to use those as they are if you wish to do so. Any day-adding would have had to have been within the 14 days of first use. (See above)

You were very fortunate as I tried to do the same thing and was told no - you can use the tickets remaining days but cannot add days. I have an unused 7 day PH plus that I may try to upgrade to 10 day non expiring when we go in Sept. I need to figure out the cost of getting the 3 extra days and the extra 2 plus features first though. It may not be worth the difference.

The added cost should be very little. You should be just paying for the days added to your ticket not for the pluses, although I dont know if they truely do add the extra plusses...seems like that could be difficult to make happen but who knows some of the simplest ideas they cant seem to do but some very difficult ones they have down pat. The price difference for advance purchase of an adult 7 day myw ph plus ticket to an adult 10 day ph plus ticket is $6.

Yesterday, while changing my reservation with Guest Services, I asked about adding to my used MYW ticket with 1 day left on it, and she said I could do it at the resort Guest Services. But I think she was wrong and you guys are right. But I'll try it anyway! What have I got to lose?!?!
