If I drop my family at the Buffalo airport

And then go park, can they check in the luggage?

I'm going with my Mom, my sis, and DS (7). Can they check in all the luggage (SWA, 3 pieces), and wait for me to get to the gate? So I can go park? I'm doing a park, fly, sleep; so I might take a little bit. I'd rather they get all the luggage on the plane first.

Anyone done this?

If I'm understanding the situtation correctly, you aren't going to be present when they check the bags? They can't get your boarding pass, but they can check the bags in under their own names and then you would have to wait in line again by yourself and then check-in anyway.

We flew from Buffalo airport on Southwest last year. My husband pulled up to the curb and unloaded all the bags then went to park the car and I was able to curbside check in all the luggage. We had already printed our boarding passes at home.

We did that last year and the guy at curbside really reamed me out for trying to check in without my DH. I'm not sure what the problem was - we already had our boarding passes, my DS was with me and we only had 3 or 4 pieces of luggage which is less than the allowance for DS and me. There was no reason for DH to even have to check luggage. The guy let me do it, but man did I get a stern lecture.
