If I did get the opportunity to swap out a date with my reservation?

Right now I have a standard studio at SSR booked for the dates of April 1-4. Total number of points needed was 42, so I rented out 2 extra points for $38. Even though I think the odds of changing up this reservation are slim to none, I would really love to change it to April 2-5. So I was wondering if by some crazy chance April 5th came along I would just drop the 1st and change it to the 5th.

But I am not sure if I would be able to do that without calling into Member Services because of the 2 points I rented out to complete the reservation. (even though it would be the exact same number of points) Am I right on this one?
