If I could sum up today's trip in one word, it would be...

 AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Now that I got that out of my system, let me explain...

Well, first we arrived at the park and my AP wouldn't scan. So, I had to get a new AP (new picture though...no more six-year old alien as my mom called my old AP picture). That wasn't the problem.

Now, normally I enter the park and just before I reach Shrek, I make a right and continue down towards MIB. Not today. I am walking and just about ready to turn when I see something unusual...something I did not like: the GB Show stage with posters hanging on the set. Something was going on...
I walk closer and see it's blocked off! The posters said something about an awards show or something??? It wouldn't register, so I don't know exactly. I later asked an employee who said ALL GB SHOWS WERE CANCELLED FOR THE DAY!!!!!

Now, as soon as the words soaked in I was tweaking out (a spastic form of freaking out) and got extremely cranky (though, the crankiness could be contributed from a few different things...FYI so you don't think I'd go murdering everyone just b/c of no GB Shows...LOL). I was devestated! No Ghostbusters! Well, I was a bit moody for a while and then my parents and I decided to take advantage of this and we did things I normally wouldn't have done: See 2 Horror Makeup Shows, a Blues Brothers Show, a Street Breaks Show, and 2 Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue Shows. Well, I thought, "At least there is no way they are here...so, I can't feel fustrated that I'd miss a real oppurtunity to see them at all." Wrong! Turns out the GBs were there but were doing only meet and greets (so I heard). I waited by the GB Stage (well, across from Twister since the stage was blocked off) and waited until the time for the last show...just to see if they came for a meet and greet. Time went by and I gave up waiting there and walked over to the benches between the lake and Mel's Drive-in. I sat and occasionally glanced over to where the GB car would pull out or pull into if the guys were really there today. So, I waited and it was about 15 after 5:00 and I give up. I think again "Well, at least I didn't miss them since they never came out...I'd go CRAZY if I see them and just missed an oppurtunity to say 'hi.'" Just then, as if on cue, the GB car drives by, from the direction of Terminator and drives past the place they usually pull into to park and end up heading towards KidsZone and WorldExpo. I quickly got up, but after I got anywhere, they were gone and out of sight. So much for that! :o

That made me fustrated and grumpy...LOL...but I got over it after dinner. Today was actually a pretty good day despite NO GB INTERACTION. I absolutely LOVED Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue...it had been over a year since I saw it and the people I saw today were very talented. The Horror Makeup Shows were hysterical and I have to add a couple things to the "funniest thing at US/IOA" from the shows.

Didn't get to go to IOA today.

Well, all I have to say is, I may end up seeing all 16 GB Shows during my birthday trip because I will have gone 3 weeks without seeing the guys...LOL...gotta makeup for it. ;) lol...kidding...I'd probably freak the guys out by seeing all the shows...plus, I may try to see a Graveyard Revue Show or two. :teeth:

Any questions? Feel free to ask!!

Fly Fly-

Glad to hear you got to do other things, but sorry you missed out on your favorite show!!!!!

Hope it didn't ruin the whole day for you!

Pity about your show still must have been nice to see some other shows:jester:

Poor Clare...

I think you just experienced the first symptoms of GB withdrawal!

Personally I think they should be paying YOU for all of this free advertising! I've been to Universal more times than I can count and I HAVE to see this show now!! Go figure!

:p

Robinrs...I agree!!

Fly fly.....Ohhh....you would think with such dedication they would have at least emailed you on your website or pm'd you or something!!! Just to drive off into the sunset.........!!

GHOSTBUSTERS IF YOU ARE READING THIS.....WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA THEN?!!!

Well....you never know! :p

:rotfl: You guys are too funny!!

Anyway, it's too bad Universal doesn't put things like this on their website...it would be so simple...

and Robin - definitely see the show...:teeth:

Selina - well, possible they are reading this...this messageboard is linked from my website and they've been there...

..oh God, the "Drool Over Ghostbusters" thread! :p

Hey again! Forgot to mention:

Those who have seen Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue...you know when Beetlejuice goes out into the audience and picks on a couple people? You know when he does the "up close and personal" bit? Yes, during the first show, he decided to pick on me for that part...

Yes, I had the honor of having Beetlejuices face AND butt inches away from my face. Think I'm disturbed for life now!!! :rotfl:

Another funny part was when he did the "Have you ever made it with a dead man?" to some woman in the audience. Well, instead of giving him a disgusted look, she just turned right away to her husband and gave him a look! Beetlejuice then said, "You know, they make drugs for that now!" :rotfl:

Anyway, I may record some of the audio from the Horror Makeup Show so you can hear the funny parts that were improv. Since you probably will never hear it again. Also, you have to hear one girl's scream...it was waaaaaay too funny. But I really want to put up the bit about the elderly Swedish lady...so many funny things occurred with her since she didn't speak English. :teeth:

Anything else? Um...got my pictures back today and will be posting them online either today or tomorrow. Pictures are most of Blues Brothers and Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue, but a few Street Breaks and Horror Makeup Show.

Must have just missed you yesterday...all the incidents sound so funny....I can just imagine the woman looking at her husband.... and the poor Swedish pensioner....:rotfl: Beetlejuice is a must too!

My daughter a little while ago was reading the "funniest happenings" thread with me and she reminded me of something amusing...she said, "remember when we came back from Universal and I ran to Granny Joyce (MIL!!) my head bounced off her boobies....! The things they come out with! :p She thought Jess's was very funny....anyway..guess I'm posting this on the wrong thread......:D
