If I can't get one night on property where should I stay?

I am booked for a 6 night stay on property, however we are driving down and want to stay at a value resort for the first night when we arrive. Right now I cna't get any reservations for the night of Dec 8, 2006 (been trying for a week, daily multipe times a day)... so I am looking at Orlando hotels. I dont' want to spend alot of money as we are Ap holders and I know if I could get a value resort reservation I'd be savings some cash on that night's stay but I dont' want a crappy hotel either. I'd like to reserve a hotel off site in case I never get any availability on site for that night. Any advice? I was leaing toward the raddisson but its still going to be 95.00!

Also, I'd try Priceline for a 3* hotel in the Lake Buena Vista area or try one of the recommended ofsite hotels
