If I cancel my DDxPlan, will Disney erase my ADR's?

We're playing around with canceling our DDxPlan and/or changing from an onsite hotel to an offsite hotel.

Will Disney cancel my ADR's if we do either or both of these things?

Thanks in advance.

No, ADRs are not connected in that way. You will still have your ADRs.

If you connected your ADRs to your hotel reservation, then yes you will loose them only if you cancel your hotel reservation. If you change your meal plan from DxDP to the basic DDP or to no DDP at all, then you will be able to keep your ADRs. If your ADRs are in no way attached to your hotel reservation then you will keep them.

How do you tell whether the ADR's are tied to the room reservations? They're all under my name but I don't know how to tell whether it's tied to my room reservation.

Although that totally makes sense, it's my understanding that that's not actually true. But I haven't done it personally (cancelled a hotel stay) so I could not say for sure.

It has happened to me. We booked our last vacation before the free dining came out and then once it came out we called and asked if we could switch it, the CM on the phone told me if we did do this we will loose all of our ADRs because it will be a new reservation number (had all of my ADRs connected to our previous Reservation #), it really didn't bother me because I was able to get all of my previous ADRs for as close to my original times, if not better times.

We're two months to go time, so I'm afraid it will be very hard to rebook.

We're thinking of going offsite because even though we got a 30% off pin, it's still just so crazy of a price. We can get a condo with bedroom for $175 per night cheaper less than 10 minute drive away.

If Disney cancel's my ADR's, I think we'll probably rebook dining at many non-Disney restaurants.

It's just frustrating because I honestly spent like 4 or 5 hours total over the past couple months trying to get these ADR's. . . argh.

Why don't you see how many you can rebook online before you cancel? Go ahead and make the ones you still want again (under a diffent name or phone number) and then cancel. Maybe then try again immediately after you cancel to see if your times have been put back into the system.

Wouldn't be easier to just call Disney and talk with them and then see if they can hold it for me?

Or do you think Disney will give me a hard time and be "grumpy" if I'm telling them we're going off site and/or canceling DDx?

Most Disney phone people are super nice, but about one in five are not at all.
