If I book a room now, and better deals come out later...

can I get in on them?

I know, as a good DISer, I really should know this already, but I don't.

We're going in October. No deals right now for that time of year. I'm sure some deals will come out later, but I'm obsessed with planning. What if my hotel choice is sold out by then? I need to book a room now!! But if they do a buy 4, get 3 free later on for October, can I get a downwards adjustment on my room rate?

Hi and happy new year, you can book now and if a discount for those dates is released you can aply it for your actual reservation with a simple call, hope this help, and have a Magical Vacation

You are so not alone. We are also going in October. I am trying to narrow down are Hotel choices but I did not know if I had to wait for deals to come out.

Does this work only if you book through Disney or do you have to do it through a travel agent?

And poohnpiglet, now that I think of it, I guess I had the answer way far in the back of my mind. Your mention of travel agents reminded me that one year we booked through AAA, then free dining came out and we were able to add that to our reservation.

Thanks, now I feel safe booking our stay nice and early.

Just booked POR for a grand gathering in January of 2010, and two different CM's assured me I could phone back later in the year to take advantage of any rates that come available. We usually try for the AAA rate, but judging from recent deals, there may even be a better one next fall or winter. Hope this helps. Take care.

We had free dinning for Sept. Then the Military rate came out. We qualified for that, so changed. So far, I have changed hotels , discounts and the kind of room. Now my son and family want to come, so I will be calling again to add them to our ressie. I am sure I am being red flagged!!!!!!!
