I know this question is probably asked a million times, but if I booked a resort for February and a discount code comes out in Novemeber could I use it for the resort even though I already booked it? Also can I use the discount for multiple rooms (like 3)?

yes you can use a code later. in the past, i have booked a room using no codes, with codes and any other combo of it, and when the new code comes out, i just call back and use the best code that is out. this year, i booked using AAA code in feb. then last week when the new code for sept came out, i called and saved almost $400. I am still waiting to see if an AP rate comes out as well before we go.

As far as 3 rooms go, i dont know for sure. On our first night, i have 2 rooms booked at POP, then we transfer to BWV. I was able to use both AAA and then the new code for both rooms.

I can also confirm using codes for already booked room and usually your deposit will transfer right over to your new rev(one exception is if you book online you will have to cancel and rebook and you will have to pay the deposit again while you wait for a refund of your old deposit, usually the refund comes after the deposit comes out). If you want to do this MAKE SURE you get a room only reservation, not a package deal. The package deals have much stricter rules on canceling revelations.

a good strategy is to book the maximum you can afford at rack rate, set that as your savings goal and then change your plans as discounts come along. Doing this allowed me to save for a week at POFQ and then switch to the AKL (for 20$ a night cheaper) when the AZZ code come out

I too am confused about this reservation and code discounts stuff! I was thinking we'd get the Dream Maker package for May 2005 at the Contemporary. I do want MK view and to be as high up in the regular tower as possible. Is it safe to go ahead and book a room only for now, and watch for codes (do they offer much in the way of codes in May and/or on deluxe resorts) and then if I don't find a code then call and add DreamMaker plan so I'll have my tickets?

Thanks!
Rosemary

Yes you can apply codes at a later date BUT after you do this call back in a few days to confirm the price and the room. I booked CR Tower back in May for Sept. Last week when the code AZZ came out I called to have it apply to my reservation. The CM gave me the amount that would now be due (479.48)and the total price from my stay ($853). I paid $373.52 back in May. I called back Wed night because I was changing my dates by 1 day. (Instead of coming in on Sunday I was now coming in on Monday). He told me, my room was $1054. Somehow my room was switch from Tower to Tower club, that was why the increase. Would not have been a nice surprise to find out I would have needed $200 more for my room. This is the first time this has happened to me and I have stayed at Disney countless times. Well I could count but lets just say I've been there 6 times in the past year.

There is no guarantee you will be able to switch to the code when they come out. There has to be a room available with the discount code at your resort and for your dates. If there are no code discount rooms open for your resort/room type/dates, they will not switch it just because you already have a reservation. They limit the number of rooms available with the discount, sometimes none are available if the resort is pretty full for the dates in question.

I did with the new Sept code - and got the confirmation of the revised reservation in the lower amount in about a week. No problem at all. :D
