A question posed on another thread triggered a thought. I know that Fantasmic will be cancelled due to inclement weather. So those with the F. package will only get their meal, and can't get a 'rain check' for the seating voucher.

My question is: how often (on average) does this happen in a given year? Any of our wise Dis veterans have an answer (or even an educated guess?):teacher:

Wasn't sure if this thread should go here or under Park Strategies. Mods feel free to move if necessary.

I think it did happen to us once. I know people were seeing if they could get a "rain check". That is not Disney Policy.

I looked at it like this, you cant control the weather, we had to eat a meal anyway so its just luck.

If its the only day in your vacation that you had this planned, it might not be so good, unless you can somehow change things to see the show again, minus the package/dinner.You would just have to wait in the line to get in like all the regular people without the package.

My understanding is that if it's rained out you don't get a rain check. I would imagine this has to do with the size of the reserved area (only the last 2 areas on the right). When we went in September, we arrived half an hour before the show to the seats (earlier to the entrance) and the entire section was already basically full. We were probably one of the last 10 families to be seated. I don't think they have the capacity to seat everyone for two evenings if there was rain.
