If DVC resale owner but home resort is NOT Poly, can you book Poly tower villa?

I read an article yesterday on the DVC Fan page which said that if you're a DVC resale owner and Poly is your home resort, then you'll be able to book Poly tower villas. However, our home resort on a DVC resale contract is not Poly. Would we be able to book a Poly tower room?

That article might have been talking about bookings prior to Nov 19th, where Poly owners were given a different home priority window with the opening of the tower. Because the tower bookings went live just a couple months from first check-in, they needed to provide a period for PVB owners to book before trading in could happen.

The applicable rules for future reference: you can use resale points purchased before January 19, 2019 to reserve any DVC Resort that currently exists. As to resale points purchased on or after January 19, 2019:

1. Such resale purchasers of "new" DVC Resorts opened after Jan 18, 2019 -- currently Riviera, VDH and CFW -- can use their points only to reserve a room at their home resort.

2 Such resale purchasers of any DVC Resort opened before Jam 19, 2019 can be used to reserve those resorts, including any addition made to those resorts after Jan 18, 2019, and thus can be used to reserve the additions that have been made to VGF and Poly since 2019.

Every time I am reminded of this, it makes me wish I had known about DVC prior to 2019!
