If Dreams are gone?

ive been wondering that myself, but I betcha you can reserve it for the night if you pay out your nose for it, and the waiting list would most likely be like the wait time to get into Club 33. Its something rediculous like a 10 year wait list.

I thought I heard that once this promotion is over they will not rent it out, just like the cinderella suite will never be reserved on a nightly basis? I thought I read that somewhere months ago but who knows. I think it would get crazy with people trying to reserve those suites...and they could charge and arm and a leg!

Really? Ok well very likely but its sad to think they would put that amount of money and effort into making that suite for something that wont get used later on. But if they do keep it and rent it out, i'll be sad but i'll just take that money and put it towards a a down payment on a house :rotfl:

All that royalty stuff, getting the suite and such, I don't know, it's a nice thought and would be a dream come true for a family. And 'family' is the keyword. We probably would never get the chance because there are no little ones in our household. Those kind of special treats only seem for families with children. My sister and I are both over 30, ugh! No kids, no special suite! :(

Personally, I've been missing the Disney Gallery room. It was fun to explore on a hot day and see a lot of classic Disneyland in there.

I read somewhere that the Cinderella Suite was going to be up for reservations for DVC members after the end of the Million Dreams this December. I can't remember where the article was. I know it was on a Disney site. I didn't bookmark it, though!

Maybe they'll do the same thing for the suite at DL too?

if it is up for a DVC reservation it will go quicker than the Cindy's Royal Table or Victoria and Alberts Chefs Table!

I would love to have just one night there.. me and about 100,000 other DVC members...

Oh, hey, somebody just posted not too long ago about how they won the dream suite. It was really cool. She had wonderful pictures. But, get this, it was she and her adult son, that's it. From my understanding, it doesn't depend on whether you have kids or a typical mom/dad/2.4 kids family. So maybe you and your sister could just be in the right place at the right time! :thumbsup2

I'm wondering if they'll use the suite for a lot of corporate gigs-- schmoozing Bill and Melinda Gates and their kids, etc. yanno? And also maybe giving it away as part of future promotions once in awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if it were connected to the new DVC membership... "sign up and get qualified to win a night in the the Dream Suite" kind of thing.

I thought I read about it being part of the new promo, of celebrating? I know there are Pirate rooms.

On the rumor board it was posted that they will be using the WDW Cinderella Suite for Make a Wish and other special charity "magic". It will not be rentable.

This will probably be what happens with ours at Dl, too.

Really? I never heard that one. That would be kinda sucky, but at the same time its good because it gives people who really deserve it a chance at something really nice for just them. Kinda like on extreme makeover home edition where needy families need a break from their really hard life due to a disablity or something. It would be awesome.

Good memory, Avalon. Yes, my DS, who is 20, and I won the suite last month. And literally, you have to be in the right place at the right time. It is totally random. A computer spits out exactly where to hand out the dream suite. My son and I were on Mr. Toad. The dream squad was waiting for us when the ride ended. They even were taking pictures of our approach. I happen to win it because I was the passenger on the outside. It is exact to where the person is sitting. So don't give up. Being single, a couple or a family does not make any difference. It's all about timing.

Oh, as to what will happen to the suite after the YOAMD ends, a couple of our dream concierges told us the suite will probably go to the control of guest services. Even now, it is used for VIP events. That is why it is handed out as a dream only 266 nights this year.

Sorry, however, I do not agree regarding the typical profile of dream winners, for the pp, and one other case, have I ever read, regarding winning these dreams, for everyone else, has been a family, or an adult with one or more children. I was not dreamed last month, nor last year, and frankly, I find this promotion to be hm let me see how I can put this in a way, that would not offend Dl. don't think that I can, suffice it to say, I do not hold any belief whatsoever in this dreaming business! so it can just go away!

LOL Well dont feel too bad, actually on Miceage.com the other day, the article states that the promo was really a bummer because there werent a lot of chances to win and you usually had to be there first thing early in the morning to be able to get anything. Like a person who went almost daily for almost 3/4 of a year or something like that only got dreamed twice. The chances were not great at all and there have been a lot of disappointed people. Ive been 3 times during the year of a million dreams promo, with 8 day hoppers, and being there every day at opening and not once did I even see a dream cast member.

Well we are a family of 4 with 2 young girls and the ONLY actual dream we won was fastpasses, and that was going 14 times in 12 months!!!! So, I don't agree with people who say "only families win" because that is not the case. We did get the Tink pins a couple times and we did get the front row seating for Billy Hill but the only actual Dream Prize we got was those FP's. So anyone can win, I do totally believe that!!
