If Disney were to replace DS' Backlot with Star Wars Land, would it upset you?

My 2 favorite things from when MGM opened was the Art of Animation (when there was an actual working studio in there). And the original BLT. Going down residential street and seeing the Golden Girls house would just make my day. But, now there's no animation studio anymore. Still a cute little show and walking tour.
And my beloved BLT, ruined by a stunt show. And recorded commentary. It's had it's time. I'm ready to say goodbye in favor of Star Wars.

But, for the love of Mickey bars, please leave Muppetvision 3D alone! Find another way to make it all fit. Keep the muppets safe.

This. I loved it as a kid, but when I went back in '06 as an adult, it seemed sort of done. I'm not a huge stunt show fan either.

Not sad at all. In fact, SW land would make DHS a two-day park for this family.

As for the memorabilia, why couldn't they put that near GMR in the American Idol spot, turn it into a museum? It would make more sense than AI.

I agree, Carsland is great and all, but really RsR is very much like test track, they don't need to repeat everything on each coast, having different things to draw you either way is a good thing. If they could pull off star wars land as well as they did carsland it would be amazing to see. I also agree that it shouldn't be a "mini" land they really need to give HS a revamp it's tired and needs a few more good attractions in it, might also help spread the crowds out inside the park some.

The rumors for DHS have a Star Wars mini land as well as a CarsLand, however the rumor does not have a Radiator Springs racers ride going in.

If they were to do ANYTHING with Backlot, replace it, update it etc.. it would be great. Now it's just a sad reminder of failed plans.

Now saying that I don't want "CLONE LAND" AKA as "well here's what we did in California so let's just drop it in Florida" Surely they can have more then one new idea????

I read this thinking Clone Wars, not Clone Land, lol and was all agreeing with you, lol!!!!!

But NOPE - would not miss BLT for a SW land. But IMHO, SW deserves an entire park, not just a section of one. It's so huge, so detailed, so popular, there's no reason it can't have it's own land.

Personally I like Backlot Tour and LMA. I am not a fan of Star Wars and would have no interest in a Star Wars Land.

Since there are currently no official plans announced for a Star Wars land at DHS, this is all speculation and really doesn't contribute to theme parks planning. So I've moved this thread to the Theme Parks Community board. :)

Absolutely not! Cars land, Star Wars anything would be better.

Absolutely, but so song as it isn't a Disney cheapo 'mini' Star Wars land. SW is the most bankable ongoing franchise around. Disney should really go to town on this one IMO

I'd love to see Lord Vadar mind-choke that Potter kid.:darth:

Goodness! Did I say that out loud???:rolleyes1

I never did get a chance to do the Backlot tour. Was it any good?

I would be all for a Star Wars land, I'm sure it would be amazing. And I think DHS needs something new and exciting. Whenever I go, I feel like it's missing something.

Agreed, we were there last week and there just isn't enough to keep it interesting for a whole day once HToT and RnR have been done. TSM is okay I suppose.

I look forward to a star wars land but based on recent experience don't expect it to be complete until 2020 and will continue Disneys recent trend of underwhelming their guests.
