If Disney built a 5th themepark in Orlando, what would you want the theming to be?

Disney's OCEAN KINGDOM.

Landmark: The underwater castle from the Little Mermaid.
The park can be divided by the Ocean names can have an "Island Showcase" (similar to world showcase at EPCOT)

I hope Disney opens a new park!!!

Thats a really good idea. :goodvibes

I like the idea of the Villians Park. they are such a big part of the Disney Movies and yet you hardly see them in the parks.

I have always thought a Willy Wonka world would be fun. Some of the rides could be based on the things the kids went through for instance; a roller coaster that you are "fat" in and get shot through a chute, a chocolate lake, a ride simular to Tower of Terror that drops you down the "Goose Chute" (This ride could lead to a gift shop that sells golden eggs), a 3D type ride that turns you in to a very small TV transmission etc. And of course it would have to have the ride that starts slow with and goes faster and faster and faster, then in the end can puff you with a blast of air.

All the streets could be "candy themed" There could be a kids play area that looks like the spot where they got to "eat the flowers".

The center piece could be a giant chocolate factory, or a giant Wonka bar.

YOu could incorporate Pocahontas, Move Hall of Pres, Fivel (doesn't he have a western theme?), Bambi, I'm sure there is more.

Fievel did have a sequel, something like Fievel goes west but uh, Fievel isn't a Disney character

I second the DisneySea vote

I have no real idea for the park, but I just wanna say they need to step it up on the rides. Based on rides alone, I would pick to go to Universal first, then SeaWorld, and lastly Disney. If they do build a new park, I would say they need at lesat 2 or 3 mega coasters. Maybe would could be themed for a ride on aladin's magic carpet or so.

I disagree greatly. Disney is not another run-of-the-mill thrill ride park (ie: Universal, 6 Flags, etc). It is great like it is with a few "thrills" but mostly family fun.

Hi everyone, new around these parts

I like the DisneySea US idea and the Villians idea... but my favorite idea for a 5th park would be Retro Disney. They could use a lot of stuff they may still have from other rides and stuff (favorably, Horizons, 20k Leagues, and World of Motion). I'm a big fan of the stuff I grew up with that is now gone and I think it would really be a time warp for a lot of people to relive a lot of the REAL Disney (as I like to call it).. That's just my 2 cents! lol :)

I also vote for a heroes and villians theme park. I think that would be awesome. I like the undersea castle from Little Mermaid for the icon, but what about the mountain from A Night At Bald Mt. or Cruella Deville's manse? :maleficen

I would also welcome back that time warp because I miss the DW of yesteryear too. There should be a way of saving the old while still making way for the new. As Walt himself once noted, size is something that DW has that DL doesn't. There is still lots of land to work with and it would be nice to bring stuff back and build new for the future. :hourglass

OOPS!

I also like the DisneySea idea!! :wizard:

As much as I would love a Disney Villians Theme Park, I don't know if Disney would consider it because, Disney is all about Goodness and being a good little boy or girl.

I love the idea of Ariel's castle. But for the Villians castle, what if it was Jack Skellington's castle? That might work?

I also feel that Disney doesn't need to compete with Universal Studios. I don't go to Universal because I don't like the crazy rollercoaster thrill rides, they also get rid of rides much more quicker than Disney Does.

King Kong is gone, Jaws never works, I'm just curious if in 2 years they will get rid of Men in Black??

That is why Disney does so well, the rides to breakdown from time to time but never as often as Universal.

IF they do this Villians park, everything should be very up to date technologically, state of the art. There are so many possibilites, they could do a whole Pirate Island theme, different from the Pirates of the Caribbean but more updated with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, they could even do something involving Narnia as well, since that has done very well too.

Here's to dreaming...... :wizard:

I'd love to see a couple of huge, fast, smooth, steel coasters like Millennium Force at Cedar Point. There already are so many family rides at Disney. Some serious thrill rides would be a great addition!

pirate: I love your ideas. I totally agree about Universal and that is why we are a Disney family too. I culd definitely get into a pirates theme : :cheer2:

I agree that Universal needs a ton of work, I dont even think it's comparible to Disney. However, if Disney incorporated a few thrill rides for the inner daredevil in some of us, it wouldnt make Disney a bad place and it certainly wouldnt suddenly make it a non-family place. It's just an idea that would be able to incorporate all genres, all types of people...Disney is a place for the Young AND the Young at Heart. I realize that Disney is a "Family" place, but all families are different and not every family has young children in them. Atleast, that's the case with my family. We're all grown up but we still like to go to Disney together and wouldn't mind going on some rides geared to people in our age group. And thats why i think a thrill ride theme park would fit in.

sorry, mispost.
