hopper passes? Some of the cm's state everyone in the room must have the same pass, others, say every one but the ap holder can get an unlimited hopper pass at check in. Anyone know from experience?

As far as I know, only one person in the group has to have the AP. Disney cannot make you buy a pass you don't want.

I just found this

Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket (formerly the Unlimited Magic Pass)

The Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket has replaced the Unlimited Magic Passes (which replaced the Length of Stay passes...Disney is apparently taking lessons from the Universal Studios school of name changes). These passes provide unlimited admission to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot. MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, River Country, Blizzard Beach, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest and Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. They must be purchased by ALL members in your party, and must be for the full length of your reservation. Additional days are available through Guest Services or Central Reservations. These passes are available to any guest staying at a Walt Disney World property, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, and Downtown Disney area resorts.Prices shown here include 6% tax.

The answer to the OP's question is yes they can. Annual passholders are not required to purchase UPH's.

The confusion arises from Disney's two different policies on UPH's. If you buy them in advance or as part of a package from CRO/WDTC, then the rule is that all people must have them and for the entire length of stay. Even in this circumstance, an AP holder is not required to purchase one.

If you wait until you check in at your resort to buy them, you have a lot more flexibility. You can drop a day if you want and you can get them for as many people in your party as want them (even if it isn't everyone).

Whew!! I was going to buy a UPH for my trip but my roomie doesn't need one.
