If Buzz Rules created a soccer podcast, would non soccer fan Disboarders give it a listen/chance?

I’ll have to ask but would imagine the primary team would be 🇫🇷
Okay. France is one of the best teams in the world. They are known as Les Bleus. The French league is Ligue 1 and video posted above labeled Ligue 1 will help you understand their clubs teams. The most famous club team in France is PSG (Paris's club team). If you know what area your French relatives are from, you can Google their local professional team. Every city/town has one.

The French national team plays 🇮🇹 on Friday and you can follow along on the UEFA website:

The French team also have a youtube channel:

That would be great and thanks much!

A daily soccer podcast/show I would recommend for those just getting into soccer would be cbs's morning footy on their free golazo network:

https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-sports/shows/morning-footy/about/

https://www.cbssports.com/watch/cbs-sports-golazo-network

https://www.cbssports.com/podcasts/morning-footy/
For a US Soccer podcast, I would recommend cbs's call it what you want podcast:

https://www.cbssports.com/podcasts/call-it-what-you-want/

cbs also has an Serie A (the Italian League) podcast as well:
https://www.cbssports.com/podcasts/calcio-e-cappuccino-a-serie-a-soccer-podcast/

The TV station Bein Sports holds the tv rights for Ligue 1 (French League) matches and I'm currently trying to find an English language Ligue 1 podcast that may be of use to you. The podcasts above and the videos in the previous posts will definitely give you a little more than basic understanding about the sport and leagues. I would recommend you watch the USA matches and the pregame/pist game analysis if you can. That would definitely give you some more insight on how the sport is played internationally. 😊

@NYCgrrl , have the resources helped at all? I know there is a lot of information but I hope at least some of the material I put on the thread has made some of the information easier to comprehend.

I’ll be watching much of it with son in the next few days as he’ll be back in town.

The French team will be playing their match today against Italy in Parc de Princes (PSG's stadium in Paris) instead of Stade de France (which is their home stadium) due to the Para Olympics using the stadium. Just incase you were watching the match and wondering why the venue was diffrent than usual. 😊
The match should be one of the best of today's international matches. It's also a rivalry official (cap tieing) match.

The match is at 2:45 pm ET on Fubo and Vix but if you don't have those streaming services, you can follow along on the official website:

No, I’m not into soccer and have no interest. However if it makes you happy you should do it!
Agree, you should do it anyway. Just because non fans aren’t into it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

@Buzz Rules, do you pay much attention to the UK Premier League? If so, what's you tipple of choice (team wise)
I played as a kid, but really never got into the sport as an adult, until I watched Wrexham series on Hulu and now I have a little bit of interest and knowledge. lol

Still no time or storage for another podcast tho. I subscribe to too many already.

DGD has been hanging out with her Euro cousins and acquired a taste for soccer. Which means try as much as I’d like, I can’t fluff it off.
Perhaps listening to a podcast would give me a quick “edmujication” 🤷🏽‍♀️
NBC's Rebecca Lowe has started a new soccer podcast this week in case you were interested:

Have the other videos I've suggested helped at all?

Also, just to let you know @NYCgrrl , NYCFC plays Inter Miami (Messi's team) today at 2pm ET. The game will be on Apple TV but you can listen to the radio audio commentary on https://www.nycfc.com/radio

if you want to get a further understanding of the beautiful game. You can follow the text format of the match on the MLSSOCCER.COM website:

I'm just curious if you did you find out what club team your DGD supports?
Bad grandmother here. I meant to tell you this week and it just fluttered in and out of my head. I know son went done the rabbit hole (family trait) with the soccer vids and had a long convo with granddaughter about the sport. Err I kind of felt like my work was done as neither one of them asked me about soccer or any other sport again; I suspect they know me by now. Oops 😅

Thanks for your help since son was able to put the info to good use 👋🏾

Well the European soccer leagues and tournaments just started so there is a good chance soccer conversations will come up in the future.

NYCFC really need to win to get into a better playoff position. The match is supposedly going to be a sell out. I'm a NYCFC fan but I have a gut feeling the Pigeons are going to break my heart again this year. They are owned by the Yankees and Manchester City, so the pressure to win is always high. They are getting a new stadium next to the Mets stadium, so you will have a great opportunity to see them in person in a soccer specific stadium in the future.
