If AP rates come out the "old fashion" way...

can I call and book it without having my AP and just show it when I arrive at the resort or did that change too. If I have to have it beforehand will Disney let me purchase it over the phone and then let me book my room using the AP rate?

That remains to be seen. They may make the regular AP rules the same as the best rate rules or they may not. Anything is just a guess at this point.
