If aliens declared war on Earth, would you fight, run, hide, surrender or try to leave the planet?

I remember thinking about this after it turned out that the deep-space Pioneer 10 probe with the representation of a pair of humans on it along with other symbols is now understood to be likely taken as a taunting obscenity to any aliens who see it. The probable outcome is this very scenario. Since it's our fault, maybe a heartfelt apology will talk the aliens out of obliterating the Earth.

I think I’d wait to see how it all plays out, before doing any of the things addressed in your question. I don’t think I’d have the capability to leave the planet though so that’s out. I can’t just dust off the ole space rocket in the garage to leave the planet.

Why would any non-terrestrial species care? It would take ridiculous amounts of resources. The whole "war of the worlds" premise is just bizarre. Anyone with that level of resources wouldn't really care. Besides the impracticality of interstellar travel.

I'd run, but to the front of the line to be put out of my misery. Same as if the zombie apocalypse or any other apocalypse like situation comes to fruition. I have no desire to be a "survivor" in any version of planet earth other than the one we are currently living in. I've had enough struggle and stress as is and I'd not welcome a whole lot more at this point.

They Live is one of the best!

Sadly some folks believe there really are elite, rich aliens in disguise that are ruling over us, and that the movie is a documentary.
Carpenter himself said those paranoid folks were wrong, and that this was actually a commentary on Reagan-era unchecked corporatism/capitalism (which I would say was obvious to anyone who saw the movie).
