When redeeming the vouchers for GAD, has anyone had to or not had to show birth certificates for their kiddos?
Would a military ID be enough (their dads?)

The reason I ask... their birth certificates are locked up in a security box in another state, and I don't know how easy it will be for me to get a copy of them.

Thanks!

I would think they would have to match up the names. Do they have their own military IDs? The voucher says school and children security IDs are not acceptable, but I don't know about military. Do they have passports? Each person needs to show ID so they can match up the individuals to the names on the vouchers.

You should be able to get a birth certificate from the clerk of court in whichever state they were born. It's a good idea to have an accessible birth certificate - we have needed them for soccer and other activities.

They must have a federal or state issued ID or a copy of a birth certificate. If they are 10 or older and have a DD1173 that is acceptable.

Thanks everyone - it may justbe easier for me to go down to the card ID office and get them all a military govt. ID. LOL

Are your kids in school? You can ask them for a copy of the birth certificate they have on file for them. I had to do that for one of mine that I cannot find her original to copy for our trip. I will still probably order it since we have time but I panicked.

You can ask the school for a copy of the one they have on file - or you can request one from your state's vital sttistics office..depending on how much time you have.
