Idiot mails puppy

http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/...Well-at-Minneapolis-Animal-Control-feb-1-2011

What the heck?? Ignorant doesn't begin to describe this one. Anyone in Minneapolis want an adorable puppy?

I'm hoping that when the article says 1000 dogs had to be euthanized last year in Minneapolis and another 800 were dead on arrival, they mean from ALL causes, not just from being mailed.

I bet that woman's going to be in a world of hurt now, though, as it won't take long for people to find out who she is and where she lives (considering her name's in the article!). Social consequences are usually a lot more extreme than legal ones, where animal welfare is concerned. Especially adorable, helpless, baby animals.

Oh her ID is already out there. Some doozies on her facebook page (read a few excerpts on another site where I first saw the story). Class act, this chick.

That is horrible! That woman should go to jail. Imagine how she treats children. They said on that news story when they told her the dog would have died she just rolled her eyes. How do you not punch her?

Anyway. I am sure the recipient would have loved getting a dead dog for their birthday.

People scare me.

Unfortuatly they also posted on someone elses facebook page that has the same name that use to live in Minneapolis but now lives in Arizona. This poor woman is getting grief because of what some idiot did across the country.

Is this the correct place to mention taht the postal service does actually ship live animals sometimes and that many of them travel by air?

so lets just say the dog had died in transit and her darling niece got to open THAT wonderful package on her Birthday. If she didnt care for the welfare of the dog (which of course, she should have!) she should at least care about the welfare of her neice! That would be horribly traumatic!

Yes but that would require special packaging and permission. Neither of which the person had.

yes but those animals are in special boxes, that says LIVE ANIMALS with air holes and other precautions. this idiot sealed him in a box with no holes...

Sure they do, but did you read the story?
Well, I clearly did since I used verbiage taken directly from it.

I am not saying the person wasn't wrong. Still, bad reporting is irritating. Of course, it is a Fox affiliate...

After the "mall-texting-fountain-lady", let's hope this idiot doesn't retain a lawyer in the next few days to sue the PO for illegally opening her package...

I'm glad the poor pup didn't end up getting shipped. That lady's such a moron!

Uhhh... yeah. WOW!

Did you see 'her digits'? What a moron.

And I almost made it through the day without being shocked by something.

Sure glad the story had a happy ending!

Some things definitely should not be mailed. Many years ago my first husband ordered WORMS online (for fishing, I know....) We got a call from the USPS on a SUNDAY from the airport...ummm can you come pick up this package??? Apparently it was leaking everywhere!!
