Ideas to surprise kids with trip to DHHIR

We have a trip coming up in 60 days to Disney's Hilton Head Resort. My kids don't know and I want to surprise them! They are 5 & 8. I don't really want to mention Disney as the destination because they will assume it's WDW, which we've done a few times now. We will be driving from Ohio, likely on a Saturday, but maybe Friday night. Looking for ideas on a fun way to reveal. I've never been able to keep a trip a surprise until this one and not sure I'll do it again, so want to make this one really fun! Any ideas?

This may work for kids. I did it for my parents for their 50th anniversary. I surprised them with a trip to HHI by filling a Mason jar with sand. They had to dig in the sand to find a scroll. On the scroll was a letter congratulating them on fifty years and presenting them with a trip to the island. Of course, with kids, you can fill the sand with more child-like items. Maybe include a picture of Shadow, the resort's mascot.

The idea above is great! You could send them on a scavenger hunt where they find a beach towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, bathing suit and end with a sand bucket and shovels with the mason jar idea with some photos of the HHI beach and resort...
