Ideas on how to surprise kids

Wow, some great creative ideas! I so want to tell my kids now because I want to talk about it and plan and watch all the movies with LOL. But...my eldest is almost 9 and will make herself literally sick with excitement if we tell her now. It's bad enough that she has to sleep with a bucket by her bed the week before Christmas  So we're holding off till just before. She has a choir concert on the Saturday before we leave so we're thinking about maybe telling her after the concert. Hubby wants to wait till we're actually at the airport in Seattle but I'm not keen on trying to cross the border and having our little secret blown by a Customs officer :lmao:

I *love* the scavenger/treasure hunt idea. Maybe we'll try something like that. We're not a hugely creative family but I have some Disney pins off eBay so could hide those around the house...

Oh yeah, and my husband suggested we tell the kids now so that we have something to threaten to take away to make them behave :lmao: I've been tempted a few times!

Now how do I hide *my* excitement and impatience for the next one month three weeks and three days????????????????
