We need to be at the bike barn at Fort Wilderness for an 8:15 Segway Tour. We'll be staying at Wilderness lodge. I believe the boats start at 8 and then I think we'll need to use the internal bus at FW. Will we have enough time?

If we just drive there, how long will it take to get into the campground-will we be behind a lot of campers checking in?

Can we drive right up to the bike barn if we choose that option?

Why not just walk over? There is a paved walking path between the two resorts. The path is located near the bike barn at the lodge.

there is a special lane for campers who are checking in so you won't get tied up in that mess.

no you can not park right by the bike barn. The parking lot is at the front of the resort and you would have to take the internal bus to the bike barn.

To drive over there is would take 15 drive time and then what ever the wait time is for a bus and then the time it would take the bus to make its way back to that part of the resort I would say to alow 35-40 minutes to get there. Or like I said walk over it would only take 20-25 minute to reach the bike barn from the lodge.

If it were me, I'd walk the path. This will take you about a half hour at a nice leisurely pace. You'll get the added bonus of seeing the wildlife; an abundance of squirrels and lots of deer. We even saw a bobcat! I'm not certain where the bike barn is. The path will take you to the horse barn near Pioneer Hall.

Take the bus. The internal buses at FW start early and one route actually goes out to WL then back in, it should also go near enough to the bike barn that you will not even need to transfer, ask the driver they are very friendly.

check into getting the campground bus at WL and get off near the main pool. walk past the pool to the bike barn or toward the pool depending which bus you are on. there is no car parking near the bike barn so you would need to take a bus anyway. driving a car to campgound is not much of a help as most places do not have car parking. if you walk over from WL you will have to either catch the bus to the center of campground or walk that to the center of campgound. the buses run very early in the campgound almost if not 24/7. just not sure if the bus goes to WL all the time
