Ideas for what to do w/family between xmas and new years?

Hello all my fellow resourceful Dis'ers! My family and I (1 mom, 1 dad, a teen and a tween) plan to be in Disneyland for March break 2012 however my hubby was also able to get the time between Christmas and New Years off so I have been thinking about a little (and by little I mean cheap) getaway for us around this time. Just an overnight, not too far away, no flying and I am looking for suggestions. I looked at Splash Lagoon in Erie for my dates and the Holiday inn package was 400 bucks!!! So it wont be there! Also looked at Great wolf and it was 299 for the night of the 28th, not quite as bad but alot more than I wanted to spend. I have thought about playing tourist in Toronto but this can get pricy too. Anyone have any fresh ideas or know of anyother indoor family water parks within a day's drive? Thanks ahead of time for any and all ideas.
