We are surprising my older daughter with a trip to WDW for her 16th birthday in September. I just booked our room at the Poly (which is where she has always wanted to stay and probably thinks we never will because I fell in love with the GF the last time we were there) our tickets and our flights. I was also able to get a breakfast ADR at CRT on the morning of her actual birthday and dinner ADR at California Grill for her birthday dinner. She and her sister will have no idea that we are going until I let her unwrap our MagicBands as an early birthday gift when we leave for "school" (the airport) on the day of our flight. I have begun the process of telling her that we will probably do a long weekend in San Antonio to celebrate her birthday so I can pack without making them suspicious. Her favorite place on Earth is WDW but she is under the impression that our Christmas NYC trip is our big vacay for the year so no way could we also even think about going to Disney. I would love to hear about any birthday experiences that were memorable for you and ideas to make her Sweet 16 over-the-top special for her. It has been a really rough year for her medically and I just want to give her an amazing trip full of memories to cherish!

Last summer we celebrated DD's 16th birthday in Disney. We had a Disney Floral and Gift basket delivered to our room. You could also get her a tiara to wear while at Disney (kind of grown up and Disney princess style). Hope you have a great birthday celebration.

I'm all about the birthday button, while wearing it all cast members will tell her happy birthday! Simple, but so so special
