Hi

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question so let me know if I should move to a different area but we’re planning either a WDW & cruise trip or a DL & cruise trip hopefully for late next year.

A few friends/family have said they would be interested in coming but we want to start & lock something in soon as otherwise it will never happen.

So I was thinking of sending out a sort of postcard/newsletter/ expression of interest /ideas type of thing, with possible trip ideas & itineraries. As at the moment we are still flexible so could work in with others (& would love too), but at the same time it’s a decent trip from Australia even if we end up going to DL not WDW so want to start saving & planning.

I would like it to be a fun & exciting package to get in the mail (not just a newsletter) sort of a prelude to the holiday, has anyone ever seen anything like this or have any ideas of what I could do?

I am not sure how much work you want to do or how much money you want to spend or how crafty you are but how about something like this-

Buy small photo albums and in each picture slot place a card with different pictures and information, such as

- pictures of DL or WD and chars
- small blank calendar of the month(s) you can travel ( write in possible travel dates)
- pictures of different resorts
- list of various websites to visit ( The Dis, easywdw, allears, wdw site)

Mail it out to whomever might be interested.

Good luck and have fun with the planning!

I have another idea. You could create a brochure on the computer with all of the info listed above. Depending upon how savvy you are, it could be pretty detailed and awesome. Then print it out and mail it. That would be less expensive than the photo album idea.

This is less cute, and more practical, but I'd create a Google Calendar with potential dates and then invite everyone to the calendar - you can all view each other's changes/responses on dates.

As for Disnesy scenics - throw together a word-press blog or something simple, again, this allows everyone to chime in and view how your fellow potential travelers are thinking etc.

Good ideas! You could also setup and create your own wiki pages. It works just like Wikiepdia- information can be added and changed. you can set up different pages- one for parks, one for resorts, one for restaurants, etc.

You can keep it private and just invite people you want to join.

Here is a link to wiki pages. it's free:
