Ideas for Boardwalk stay? One extra night (Wed Nov 10th)

Hi all,

We’re suddenly in need of an extra room at BWV Wednesday night November 10th. Our guests who were due to fly down on Thursday the 11th found good flights on the 10th, so are arriving the night before we all check into our Grand Villa. I have added 2 waitlists, one for a garden/pool studio, and one for a garden/pool 1BR. Assume those would be our best chances? But I’m not holding out hope given it is the night before a holiday.

I’ll also try to keep stalking availability DVC site just in case, - is there a general time of day that rooms open up if I’m checking frequently (think I read early morning but don’t remember! )

I did go online and check Boardwalk Inn for that night and was only able to find a water view room at the cost of $800. I’ve reserved that for now but there’s no way we’re keeping that for them at that price. I also tried to search Swan/Dolphin but it wasn’t giving me an option to do 1 night online. Any idea why? Haven’t had a chance yet to call about that.

If there’s anything I’m missing I would appreciate any advice! Many thanks.

There were many options King or 2 queen etc. A bit steep but better than $800

I’d waitlist a studio for SSR standard view as that would be the most likely to get filled and leave the other BWV pool view comes through first.
They then could enjoy DS that night if SSR comes through.

Thanks, good idea. However they’re not very mobile and are very familiar with Boardwalk so think I’m going to stick with that area, but appreciate it!

Thanks! Have just grabbed a night at the Dolphin as a placeholder through the Marriott site (am also a Bonvoy member). Canceling the crazy $$ BW Inn room, and will still hold out hope for stalking or waitlist to come through on a BWV studio or 1BR.
